Why is Jenna brown on the movie cover and red in the movie?

Jenna is differently colored because of the people who animated her in the movie and drew her on the DVD/VHS cover.

That's not surprising. Most movie covers do that. I'm not exactly sure why. It may seem pointless to us because it could be confusing, but there might actually be a reason as to why they did that.

Movie people allways do that don't know why just because the art style is different i guess

Jennas colour looks not in all films same. Some tings in the third path are made not like in the first or second. P.es. Balto: His fur is in the 1th path more grey like a wolf and in the 3th more brown like a typical sled dog in the old times.

Well my real oppinion is if you look at Jenna's character sheet you'll see she's really dark redish.So the cover is.

And on movie it may be because of ambient lighting,like the way the background is dark or light the character is also,which happens in reality.

And The time pasts,the animal's fur gets darker..so Jenna's had to be darker,but in sequel happens exactly same thing BUT Reversed.Like Jenna gets younger look then older.Because other animators were used,but they could try to have the first's style,and make them older.

Well yes.Because the monitor has other colour then the original drawing has,mnay people has different rezolution and colours.So it's normal to be different.lol

Actually, I think that the animators are completely different people from the ones who do the cover art

When Amblin existed back in 1995, they had cover artists for a reason: to design the VHS cover/movie promotions. Of course, then there was character artists/animators- who were completely different side of the company.

Now when the DVD was released in 2000, the cover artists are not the same people because of the destruction of the Balto production and Amblimation- noticing the different art style and colors. And of course it depends on what they printed the cover with too (probably a 32-bit CMYK laser printer like most industries use)
