Something I do not understand is when Steele fell, that was not only a huge fall that could have eaisly broken a leg, and managed too beat balto and the team towards the forest, when he had no idea where he was, was no where near the fores, and was basically not hurt from the fall, I know it is an animation but come on there are some limits .

well i think he should have died from the fall not just break his leg but Steele knew where he was going because he was following the marks on the trees that Balto left and thats how he got back

Exactly, that is what I got annoyed about in the movie, and even the first time I noticed it and was like "hang on....how'd he do that!?!??!!"

Guys...it's a cartoon. The scene clearly was meant to demonstrate that Steele's treachery was his own undoing. And yet, he still had a part to play in the script. That of being humiliated by his own lies near the end. Maybe the scriptwriters allowed for too great a distance in the fall. But again, it's a cartoon. Surely a real dog, falling that distance (even into snow) would probably not survive. And especially after the KIND of fall Steele took. Be that as it may, cartoon or live-action, every scene is supposed to advance the story in some way. Even if it uses gratuitous poetic license, as this scene did.

All too true but just looking at the fall again, it took a full three too four seconds just too get down there after smashing into a few rocks, they really did do it over the top, and also that he could just get abck up like everything was fine was pushing even for a cartoon, even disney do not do something like that....most of the time. (lol)

It's all good. I'm not picking on you two. I just wanted to make mention of that. With cartoons, you kind of always have to suspend believability a bit.

I guess so, still dissapointed in universal though for that, no matter how small it may seem.

Must you ruin everything? Honestly! C'mon, yes, it may be a cartoon, but ANYONE could have survived that fall. Ok, maybe not ANYONE. But Steele is a VERY strong character. It's not uncommon realistically for someone to fall form that height and survive. Mind you, Steele's fall was broken MANY times during that fall, so he would have been fine anyway. BESIDES! Dogs are built VERY different from humans, and if you didn't notice that can withstand ALOT.

Amusing Spiritgal but i seriously hope you were being sarcastic. Like cat said, his fall was broken many times. The hardest fall he took would be when he hit that first rock. That seemed to be the greatest lenght he fell before an impact. I thought the same thing that you were, Roxas, when i saw that part of the movie but then i had to take a physics class. I dunno, after i passed that I happened to turn on Balto and it didn't seem so far fetched. Maybe he did get some injury since he was stumbling alot after that fall, but apparently he wasn't too bothered by it since he took his time to tell about what happened. Trying to make him seem the hero. But honestly, what's the differance. That scene proved that Steele had a high endurance level.
