I was looking at galleries last week as usual and as many of you may have noticed a lot of them are filled with traced pictures, if not fully traced they have a few added markings then are claimed as original characters and not traced when it's obvious the're traced and I was thinking many artists do their best or at least try their best without tracing and get less recognition so I was wondering should traced drawings be allowed?

What if you just PM a mod? If it really is traced, then we should know who did it.

I can understand you not wanting to name names so I'd do what tibby said and report it to a mod by PM.

Until today traced pictures are allowed, so it wouldn't work, and what I'm trying to get opinions on is if they should be allowed or not.

Hmm, No, I don't think they should, it's unfair on the people who have'nt traced their art because traced looks so much like the real thing people will be left out who actually drew their art freehand so I don't think traced art should be allowed.

I agree. Besides, traced art is, in a way, illeagal. It's plagerism.

Read the rules again : traced pictures are NOT allowed. This is the same as stealing a drawing.
But the mods can't know every drawing ever made, it's difficult to say when a drawing was stolen or not, and we make mistakes.
