This film didn't seem to be too popular... anyway, I bought it when away in Ireland cheap. I haven't watched it yet though..

Anyone seen it?
What's it like?

I mean, I loved Lassie originally, I watched part of an episode once. And I saw the trailer on another DVD and it looks amazing. Am I wrong?

Lassie is cool! I like all the episodes!

i've seen it! i thought it was really, really good! Lassie's great! I nearly cried though cause it has some sad parts in it I don't think i have ever seen the TV series though. My friend has 2 episodes on DVD and they are really old, but i haven't watched them. I thought the movie was great though!

OMG!V I LOVE LASSIE!!! ITS ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES EVER!^^ LOL
(its also a movie^^)

i love lassie but i never heard of it

I got the DVD for my birthday, I'll watch it later.

evan though she's a rough collie she kindof looks like my female border collie beulah in the face^^

I like Lassi episodes, and I want to see the Lassi movie

Hmm... I've never seen any of the movies but i love the tv series

Lassie...I love those dogs^^ (there's been about 9 of them so far and all of them were male dogs!)

The very first Lassie, Pal, was in the movie "Lassie Come Home" my personal fav in the whole Lassie movies series. Pal was used for all the 'old' movies before they introduced the second dog to play Lassie in the series "Jeff's Collie". Lassie #3 and 4 was in "Timmy and Lassie". By the time the series was just called 'Lassie', collie #5 and 6 were used. By the 94' movie, Lassie 7 took the stage (I'm pretty sure that's the order, if not...my bad^^;) The last collies are used for commercials and special appearances.

Lassie's trainer and owner was Rudd Weatherwax. His son trains all the Lassies now.

Here's a pic of Pal, the original Lassie:

It's plain to see that collies have changed dramatically over the years. The newer collies are larger, thicker and heavier. Pal looks more like a border collie; slim and streamlined, like herding dogs were supposed to be back then. Nowadays, it's all about the beauty. What a shame -_-

I never watched an entire episode of the old series.

But the new movie was released in 2005. Like Balto, it was over-looked. I thought it was really good - now I've watched it - it was really heart-touching. A must-see. Although I can't imagine it being as good as the old series.

The dog that plays Lassie in the movie is a male - like in the old series.

The series are way better. Bought some of the Lassie episodes.

Man, I was thinking to myself; Wow, those Collies back in the day looked much like a Border Collie .. And I gotta say, they looked better back in the day.
