This topic might be closed but I wanted to give some tips to making fanfics. For those who are lerning or need help.

-people like to read stories with a good plot.
Dont make a storie that you want to rush into. Take time for a good plot a cook up. Even though you might be excited of what you come up with and dont want anyone to "steal" your idea post a board about it.

-people dont like to read really short stories that all the action happens in one page then its over type thing.
Dont write a one-paged storie with all the action in it. Take the time to explain whats going on and make it easy for the reader to follow.

-people dont like to read these "hi ppl" or "r u comming"
These are really bad in stories and you should NEVER use them in a storie. They are extreamly annoying. enough said.

-people like propper gramma.
people dont want to read "we was chassin a rabbit" instead make the character say "We were chassing the the rabbit" if english is not your native language then errors like that are understandable.

-Use interesting characters
People like to read stories with interesting characters and the things they do. Again take time to think of a character and what its like. It you have an art gallerie then put your character in there.

-Good derctiptions or the story
Put a good description of your storie sutch as no one-liners and make it easy-to-read paraghraph.

-complaments
If you comment on people's writing then they may comment on yours.Also comment on fics that you actually read and not a comment like "nice fic" instead be more honest with what you thought of the fic and give a smal critiqu if nessasary. like "Awsome fic but you seemed to be rushing things a bit." remember not to spoile it for the others.

-advartising
Advartise your fic. Post it on the boards, ask others to please read it. If it seems that everyone is waiting for fics by the "great" writers then dont be disscouraged and keep trying just dont keep making the same topic.

-Be literate
Be literate meaning explain whats going on like He ran to the barn. instead say He ran to the barn hastily his heart pounded and he was panting hevily

People like to read propper puncutation
Like instead of "are you ok!" have some freaken common sence and put "Are you ok?"

Do this:
"Are you ok?"
"I hate you!"

not this:
"Are you ok!"
"I hate you."(unless your character is whispering or is joking around other than that it sounds very boring)
also know were to put these .,;:/'"

same here... i'm writing 3 stories right now, and they're going along nicely. i just hope people listen to these things...

The part about comenting on others helped me the most. I think I will try and be more helpful to people when I coment on their writing. This was great. Oh, yes, I was wondering if anybody here might like to read the begining of my most recent fic. I'm going to put it on the balto source soon, just not now. But please read and coment if you would.

i didn't really help me because i don't write but i will keep the tips in mind just encase i start writing.
