My favorite type of music is contemporary Christian. I don't know many people who like it, but I was hoping someone here would. I listen to 104.9 the River all the time to listen to my favorite bands. Oh yeah! Some of my favorite artists/bands are:
Casting Crowns
Big Daddy Weave
Third Day
Jeremy Camp
Nichole Nordeman
Natalie Grant
Jaci Velasquez
Mark Schultz
And on and on and on and on...
So! Anyone else here a fan of contemporary Christian music?

Ha ha! You're right about that! There's so much good music out there, I have 26 CDs of it! I forgot about Barlowgirl and Mercyme. I like those people! ZOEgirl's okay, too.
I think my favorite contemp. Christian song right now is 'Find Your Wings'. I don't know the artist, but he's really good.

No, cause I don't think I've heard of it. I probably don't even get the radio station it's played on anyways. The only christian radio station I know of out here is k-love. Of course I'm sure there's more, I just don't know of them.

Yes, they count. Wow Worship has their song 'Be My Escape' on one of their CDs, so it counts. Guess what? Third Day is coming to my town on a concert tour! I love their lead singer's voice! You know, Mac Powell? In my church we have a guy in the band who sings like Mac Powell, and it's really cool.
I forgot to mention some of my other favorite artists/bands:
Bethany Dillon
Rebecca St. James
Salvador
Jars of Clay

I have one of her CDs. My two favorite songs are 'Lamb of God' and 'Power of Your Love.' I haven't listened to it in awhile, but she has an amazing voice.
I used to like Jaci Velasquez a lot, but ever since her last CD came out I don't like her anymore. She changed her style so much, and I just didn't like it. I think I have all of her CDs. My favorite one is her 1995 'Heavenly Place' and my favorite song is 'Shelter.' I just wished she hadn't changed so much! I hate when singers change their style.

Rebecca St. James is a great songwriter but she takes way too many deep and loud breaths in between lines. No offence. I prefer Nicole Nordeman for female vocals in this catagory.
