(Put me in a dark room with nothing to do, and this is what you get!! )

So I've noticed our Roleplaying section falls under the "Fan" category. Since the other boards (Fanarts, Fanfics, Fan More, and Fan Links), don't require anything Balto-related to post new threads in them (although most of them do.), I figured, "Why should RPs be any different?". Since we're all fans of something, shouldn't we have the pleasure of playing the role of our heroes without having to turn them into wolves?

Now, I understand that this is a site and forum ment for Balto, but how many of us actually still come here because of that (Awww, come on, be honest!!)? I truly don't think having Non-Balto-ish RPs will ruin any more the immense spirit and enthusiasm this site's members already posess.

The main reason why I think we should revoke having Balto-Related RPs is because originality's becoming a problem. Not that I think we aren't creative, but it would open new doors and opportunities for RPers everywhere.

Please ponder this and tell me what you think.

(TO EVERYONE: Please don't say anything like, "Well, it's up to steet. He can change it if he wants.". I want to know YOUR FULL opinion on the situation...why you might think it's good or bad.)

I think it's a great idea, as long as the "other" RPs don't mix with the Balto ones, because things would get very disorganized and you couldn't find anything. There should be two sections: Balto RPs, and Other RPs.

I agree Suka, but I think Sylver's idea would help a little bit more.

Yeah, Togo, I've thought about that too (Believe me, I think about everything before I post. XD), and sometimes, my plan would probably backfire on the Balto fans out there. (Don't get me wrong...I'm still a Balto fan, and it's the least of my intentions to sound hypocritical.)

If this idea was put into play, would you still be a Balto fan? Of course!! Despite to new RP threads that would have nothing whatsoever to do with Balto, I believe people would still like to hold true to their wolfish RPs (Not that there's anything wrong with that.).

Honestly...I don't know. I think I'll just follow the opinion of people who roleplay. If you want, I'll do it, but if most people don't want to, then I'll say no.

Well, I haven't RPed in a long time, but I think that this is a great idea. We already alow non-Balto RPs, so I don't see why we can't also have non-wolf, dog, etc... based RPs. Plus like Suka said, it would open the doors to a little more origonality, cause after a while with a lot of the RPs being about wolves, something new would be nice.

Eer.. I agree with Togo. I think that if we did that Balto and wolf RP's would very quickly dissapear.

I totally agree Suka. I mean, I really want to RP Pirates of the Caribbean but it's not allowed, even if you do make them wolves. This is my opinion but I think that it's not very fair having only Balto, dogs, wolves etc.... It would be better to have a couple of Balto non-related topic, unless they don't multiple hazadously. Or even better, a RP section of non-related Balto topics.
