Ok I just saw a preview for this movie and well it looks awesome, same creaters of the saw movies and hostel, it's also comeing to theaters on Augest 4th and it looks awesome.

I can't explain anything about it because I don't know the storyline but it looks like to be one of those gorey fun awesome movies.

I remember going to see it with my friends when it first came out in cinemas over here. I'm a very hard sell with horror movies, it's not really my favourite genre, however in my opinion The Descent is an awesome film and the best horror movie I have seen since the first Nightmare on Elm Street.

Where it really wins out for me is the tension, there are times when you simply don't want to keeping watching this film because of it's intensity, the film has absolutely no problem with showing you something horrible or nail-biting and keeping it in front of you, daring you to look away. The movie constantly plays with your expectations, it knows that you know somethings gonna happen, and it will string you along until it's almost unbearable (in a good way).

Also, the cast is uniformly solid and for the first time in a long time, each of the characters are in some way likeable, proactive or genuinely clever. Unfortunately that makes the death scenes that much worse ^^

The Descent restored my interest in a genre of which I had become very dismissive. I would whole-heartedly recommend this film to anyone looking for a genuinely scary horror.

I've got this movie on DVD, it's pretty good to be honest, filled with plenty of suspense, you'll like it.

Note: Best viewed alone at night, best during thunder storm, lol.
