Though I discovered it quite by accident. I was browsing tvtome, and I read the title incorrectly. I saw the title, but my mind said " 'Animals of the Farting Wood'? This I gotta see!" So I looked at it, and was immediately hooked. The realism and style of the film is very attractive, but the third season= blech. Rolling Eyes hmm... i prefer season 1 and 2 myself aswell, number three just didn't have the pace and it jumped through stories too much, second season was the best by far, i was cut about bold and badger...plus there are not blue foxs in season three either apart from ranger, its just not the same. RedFoxWolf wrote: you guys are so lucky to be able to watch it, i wish i was able to how many episodes are there in total
there are 39 episodes, around 20 minutes running time per episode.
season 1: 1 - 13
season 2: 14 - 26
season 3: 27 - 39

It's a animated series based on the books by British author Colin Dann. It was made in Germany/UK in 1990 and aired in 1992, 1993 and 1994. It tells the story of Fox, Adder, Weasel, Badger, Kestrel (a hawk), Owl, Vixen, Whistler, Mole and other forest animals as they struggle to survive on a journey to a new home when their old home, Farthing Wood; is destroyed by humans. The first series covers the book 'The Animals of Farthing Wood' as they leave Farthing Wood to seek peace and safety in White Deer Nature Reserve. The second series covers 'In The Grip of Winter', 'Fox Cub Bold' and 'Fox's Feud' as they struggle to survive winter and lose numbers to the evil Blue Foxes who are led by Scarface, a jealous fox who is envious of Fox. The this series also shows Bold, Fox's son; and his adventures in the wild. The third series covers 'Battle for the Park' and 'In The Path of The Storm' as a gang of rats invade the Park, intent on ruling it and it also features Plucky, Fox's grandson. This series was the most hated and disappointing of the three because of the introduction of new writers and animation which made the original characters look odd and too childish. The books 'Seige of White Deer Park' was not made into an animation because it would be too violent for the intended audience. A prequel of the books 'The Adventure Begins' was also missed in the series. The backgrounds were also drawn in France. It is like Watership Down but with more comic relief from Weasel but characters still get killed or injured in brutal ways through the series.
