Sometimes. But I don't beleive in forced reading, except for textbooks. My fourth grade forced reads: THERE'S A BOY IN THE GIRL'S BATHROOM! was good, YEAR OF THE PANDA was good, THE TIGER RISING was good, and JOHNNY TREMAIN was good. The only second grade forced read that I can remember was, BECAUSE OF WINN-DIXIE was very good!

Let's see; I suppose their all okay. Fahrenheit 451 was endless chaos, but it was good for my reading level... Animal Farm was just plain wierd, and Great Expectations was soooo confusing. XD So much geneology in that book!!

I enjoyed my english teacher, but i just hated the books we had to read in that class. Wringer, Anne of Green Gables, Flowers for Algernon, Out of the Dust, The Giver these are the ones i can remember. We also read a series of short stories in the english text books that had really terrible endings. And they just kept getting worse and worse as the school year went on. I cannot, cannot, stress how much Anne of Green Gables bored me. Out of the Dust was more enteresting than that and its a poetry book. Talk about boredom.
The only book i enjoyed was one that was optional to read. Shades of Simon Grey
I just keep hoping, praying even, that the next book we read is a Harry Potter book. I know it'll never happen because Harry Potter is offensive to some people. So i don't think the schools would be allowed to assign an HP book to read.

Egh, heck no, I'm always made to read boring books that have'nt been read in years and most of the pages have scribbles all over them anyway and I just don't like 'em.

I tried to get on Baltosource at school but I only made it as far as the mainpage! I was doing it slowly and we had to go. It doesn't take me long to decide on the genre of books, horses, the test is picking the horse book.

I normally don't like what I read in school, since they somehow managed to place me in an AP class. The books are much harder to read and a lot harder to understand. Last year, my class read A Tale of Two Cities, which was supposedly a college-level book, and Killer Angels, which was a remake of the main events in the Civil War. In 7th grade, we read Watership Down and Animal Farm, and even though I was still AP then, those books were much easier to follow.
I still don't know what we're going to read in high school, but I hope they aren't too difficult...
