I have a feeling that a topic like this has already been posted, but I'll try just in case.
I find that Both Battlefront I and II have things that the other doesn't have. For example: In Battlefront II, you can sprint, but not in I. In I, you can get into the prone position (i.e lying on your stomach) but you can't in II. I was wondering, that since everyone who has played both games knows every possible difference between the two, is this:
If you were to combine both games into one, huge Battlefront game, what aspects of which game would you keep and which would you throw out?

Yeah, I agree that It's more fun in Battlefront II's Galatic Conquest but the thing is that the now "Money" AKA credits feature makes it more difficult it costs alot to recruit new units and stuff. I'm a hardcore gamer, I'm not saying that its bad because its harder but. I think it should mix it up by making it not as complex as Battlefront II's Galatic Conquest but still simple like Battlefront I's Galactic Conquest.
Also before Battlefront II cam out I thought that It would be one giant battle for a planet. Like you get in a Starfighter like an X-Wing or a Tie-fighter and fly into space. But alas my vision was dashed, If theirs going to be a Battlefront III. I would add that.

There is a few things I would change. -First I would keep the LAAT in the ground battle too then just the space battles, that was fun flying those around and landing for ground troops.
-Keep Jedi stuff out, like I said above.
-Not pay credits for troops I need, just for the extra stuff you can get to aid you in battle on Galatic Conquest.
-Keep the A.I. on Galatic Conquest from going to the same planet over and over, I counted at least 10 times they went back to Naboo, and I still win.
-Have a melee option when you're up close to the enemy.
That pretty much sums it up.
I agree with most of that. The jedi thing, well sometimes when you're off to a really bad start you need them to hack down the enemy troops before they get your reinforcements down. I also agree with the LAAT gunships being on the ground. Those were really useful in Battlefront I. The melee option is sure better than using a pistol up close, although I usually blast an enemy to death before he can get that close . I have also counted a whole lot of times that the CIS has gone to Kamino whenever I play (I almost always play as the Republic), and unless the CIS has assasin droids and I don't, then I win almost every time, even if it comes down to 20 of them against just me.

Yeah, I remember once on Battlefront I, I was at Naboo plains and it was 60 to two. But the thing is I got the empire all the way down to 5 without dying but my last rebel died so the battle was lost. It's like you don't even exist, when your last ALLIE soldier dies you lose that battle. Man that would eat away at my nerves in campeighn ( SP? ) mode
EDIT: I also love setting it to first person veiw. I'm a toatal Medal Of Honor finatic. I have all of them for consoles not the PC though. I can name most of them right off the bat. Medal of Honor, Medal of Honor Underground,Medal of Honor Frontline, Medal of Honor Rising sun, Medal of Honor Eurupeain Assult, And soon to come Medal Of Honor Airborn. Sorry for the off topicness.

RedFoxWolf wrote: I know what you mean, it is really annoying when you are doing so good and then the last trooper on your team dies and you lose the battle. I just think that there shouldnt even be a limit to how many troops you have and the only way you win a battle is by completing objectives like the ones in BF2. I think Lucasarts should do that in BF3 (if there even is another) or at least let there be an option if you want to have a limited amount of troops or not.
I can only agree. But that is the case in space battles in Battlefront II you score points by either capturing the flag or causing damege to their critical systems. So that is a small sigh of relife of that *Rule* in the game.
EDIT AGAIN: I really think they should keep the limit function but you count as a troop point thingie. It adds to the realisim.

You do count as a reinforcement unit. A good way to avoid the situation when you and one other AI on your side is left, and the other one dies and then game over scenario is this: Have the last remaining AI on your side follow you, or if you're playing Battlefront I, tell him to hold his position in a place where the AI doesn't normally go and leave him there. then in either situation just try to kill off as many infantry as you can, except in the Battlefront II strategy of having tha last AI follow you, just keep both yourself and him alive. The best thing to do in the II strategy is to have the last AI get into a two-position vehicle with you, so that they have to get both of you at the same time.

RedFoxWolf wrote: yes i see what your saying but in BF1 if you give a trooper a command like hold position they only stay there for about 30 sec to 1 min and then they leave. and in BF2 if you have a trooper follow you the enemy usally shoots at your trooper first and he can only take a small amount of damage before dying.
To true, that stinks that the AI cant be a wee bit more durible.

OOOOKKKEEEEYYYY:
Things from SW BF II I would put into SW BF I:
- Space Combats and everything that has sth to do with it.
- Sprint abillity
- Jedi and the other Heros
- The Galactic Conquest (The one from BF I sux... the one of BF II is WAY more realisty)
-The maps
Things from BF I, I would keep:
- The MAPSSSSS (BESPIN PLATFORMS, YAAAAY)
- The abillity that 2 people can go into the ATAT (realism)
- The Vehicles... e.g. the Jedi Starfighter (the one from EPIII is nice, but not the best =| )

Yeah, that would be cool if they kept the bespin maps. Also the old jedi starfighter looks way cooler.
