Is Wolf's rain still on TV, or do I have to buy/rent the episodes on DVD?

I love them both, but I voted Wolf's Rain because I love everything about every episode, but I don't like a few things in balto, also I voted wolf's rain because I did a stat thing of like storyline, characters, settings and all the stuff a good master piece needs to be worthy of my respect , interest and likeing, but balto and wolf's rain came close, but wolf's rain won by a bit.

It's a very hard comparison to make, the two stories are very different in tone, setting and intended audience. Wolf's Rain is a dark, intense and mature fantasy. It contains scenes of graphic violence and a decidely more adult take on themes of hope, redemption and self-belief, but though the atmosphere of the show is initially very bleak and seemingly hopeless the story is ultimately and uplifting one. While these themes are equally present in Balto, it takes a more more light-hearted and innocent view, the bad guys are clearly the bad guys and the hero is clearly the hero. To me where Balto shines is the heart displayed between the characters. The almost familial bonds that exist between them allow us to connect more easily with their plights, whereas in Wolf's Rain the characers initially cold and callous, with the bond between them slowly growing over the course of the series.

Personally I love them both, I obtained a very different and valuable experience from each one. The more apparent 'heart' and decidely more positive tone of Balto is what made it so wonderful to me. By comparison, Wolf's Rain's initially bleak outlook and setting becomes a moving and profound adventure story by the series end.

So what am I saying here? Basically that I can't choose.
