Okay I could tell that you want orginallity but people can't do that because all they can mainly roleplay is animals(no offense to the rules). The only way we can get humans in is make it with animals which is annoying I admit. Besides even though there are stuff like poke'mon doesn't mean it's with Ash and them. Have you heard of Orginal Characters. They don't come in a snap.
First of all you have to think what they look like. What they wear and how they act. Many people put heart and soul into creating these orginal characters. Some people as myself take the time to draw them out, bringing them to life on paper. I can easily see my character when I usually create it.
Being orginal too much can get annoying and then it's get boring. Besides the creator will make the thread their way which isn't fun at all. Many are huge fans of tvs, books, and video games. Using imagination is creativity and that's the way how directors create something. Everyone is infulence by something.
At least apperciate that these people are roleplaying even though some roleplay like crap at times. If you are annoyed over this how about you make an story about it instead then things would go completly your way. It would have everything that you want. Even orginality, which everyone has by making stuff based on those type of things. So stop bitching about it and live with it.
Life will never go your way. No one has the power to control life. If you did, then the world will go into chaos. That is all I have to say for now, this is the creator of an black scarred wolf speaking and will speak more if needed to. Also how can you pull fur when your a human for instance, now that's just plain sad, no offense.

It seems, nowadays, everyone's getting ticked off for the LITTLE things. But this...this is just...miniscule!! Why do you ding us for being fans, Maya? Aren't you one yourself? NO ONE'S ORIGINAL!! Sure, you see a few here and there...take movies for example. When was the last time you even seen a movie whose story isn't based off a book, game, or something else? What're you gonna do, yell at the movie companies?
You should calm down. Sheesh. I think you WANT this to turn into a flame war....fine by me. I refuse to participate in this mediocrity any longer until you can learn to repect other people's passion for whatever they like.

OK a couple of things here...
1, Quit complaining coz I don't know just how many more complain topics I can take.
2, There's nothing in the entire world anymore that is completely original, it just does'nt exist, everything is taken from another idea/story/movie anything it does'nt matter.
and finally...
3, What does it matter? It does'nt affect you directly does it? No, it just annoys you, so ignore it and enjoy the other RPGs that you like and leave other people to enjoy what they like.

There's no need to get angry. I just wanna say this before the topic gets locked:
Nothing here is original, as Dark Wolf said. RPGs are just something to have fun with. That's it. You don't have to like every RP there is, but not liking RPs just because they're based off a game, movie, etc. is just a way to hate RPs altogether. Just remember we're all fans here. And (this goes for EVERYONE...yes of course that includes me!!) everyone should respect the fact that they're a part of a community where they don't have to fear being laughed at or criticized just because of something they like. Alrightie!!
