I think that Universal always release two dvds : the US one and the non-US one...So if none have the DTS soundtrack, there's no other. Mmm, what is DTS by the way?

:(

DTS is a better audio format for cinema and DVDs. Balto 1 was originaly made in Stereo DTS but how the DTS format just work for who have an compatible DTS equipament, they remake the sound for 5.1 Dolby Digital* (makes the sound more involving but it loses some of its quality)

Know more of DTS at http://www.dtsonline.com

I Already have the oportunity to compare the american edition of The Lion King (just have the Disney Enhanced Home Theater Mix in Dolby Digital format) and the brazilian edition (this audio track are in DTS) and the diference of the audio is very perceiavble, the sound of our edition is better.

*If you dont have a dolby digital compatible equipament, you will hear the analog PCM 48kHz sound because Dolby also records the sound in this format.

Well, let's say that I'm not really concerned by that since I don't have a 5.1 sound card nor do I have the equipment for; I always use my big stereo headphones, and the sound is already well enough good to me. At least, with headphones, you don't hear the everyday sounds around you.

Sorry if im going too techinch, its is because I really love sound and images with the maximun quality possible.

Like I said early, When a movie is recorded originally in Stereo (in whatever format) its conversion for 5.1 always makes the sound loses quality, so, if you hear the original Balto Stereo DTS audio track, even using your headphones, you´ll perceive the increase of quality.
