Hi, Mario again...I'm new to the BMX scene and I was wondering if anyone new what a good BMX bike was for around $80? What is the best company to go for when shopping for quality BMX cycles?

It depends on which type of BMX you're doing, I have a dirt BMX, I got it for £110, quite cheap for a BMX.

I'd like it to have front and back pegs, and I'd be riding it around dirt roads and poping a lot of wheeles...

Well then a light weight one would be good, Diamond Back do good BMX, that's the make I have and it's very good on the dirt, the pegs don't really matter, you can have them on any BMX, thick tires would be good too if you ride it on dirt roads, I mean thick in width.

Haro's are real nice bikes, i have 2 myself. i got an 01' TR 2.3 from my racing days, and a 02' TR 2.2 which is more like a street/ dirt bike. ive been in the BMX scene for years now, and ive ridden lots of different brands of bikes and styles, but nothings felt or ridden as nice as my Haro's or other ones ive tried. i would say the Nyquist bikes are nice dirt/trail/street bikes, but they can get pretty expensive. my 2.2 was cheap, but ive invested lots of $$$$$ hopping it up and replacing parts that i constantly break or bend. and the 2.3 is just a frame now from swapping parts and what not.

theres so many brands out there that should also be considered. Hoffman, DK, Haro, Munity, Mosh, Stolen, Eastern, Poverty, Fit, Kink, Standard and so on and so on. i tend to stay away from diamondback, huffy, mongoose, all those bikes at wal-mart are a waste to me. i would destroy them in minutes buy yes, it all comes down to your riding style. if you just want a bike to ride around, then you wont need the top-o-the-line freestyle bike, but if you want to go big, you'll need the better bike

its an old Haro Shredder, maybe between the years 96-00. it looks pretty nice and it has a nice list of parts and upgrades, i would say bid on it, but keep looking around.

All right then, though I think I have my mind made up that I want to get a Haro bike, most people that I've talked to have given the most praises to Haro Bikes....

my all time favorite BMX company is S&M. They're some of the best bikes and frames in the industry. but also some of the most expensive. a frame can be as much as $399. if i was stil hardcore into BMX like i used to be, this would be my bike of choice http://danscomp.com/101276.php?cat=BIKES
