What do you like about her? What don't you like about her? WHY? Would you switch her with someone else?

Switch, NO WAY!! She was a good character in the movie, despite what people say, becuase of her attitide. In fact , if she didn't have that kind od attitude, do you think that she would have lead that wolf pack? And follow her destiny? It was because of her attitude that she got to where she is! Alue has good points to her, i have nothing bad to say about her, she is a good character in the movie! All pros! Her attitude, her looks, her voice.. and more ( idk )
Edit: i've seen that all who dislike Alue, is because of her attitude...why?

Um . . . this is very easy for me.
Although I am a Aleu fan as well (not as big as others), I do have pros and cons about Aleu.
Pros:
- She's not only part-wolf, but she looks like one too! (I like wolves, but I'm not a dog person . . . strange)
- Her headstrongness (is that even a word?) (I mean, she wants to do her own thing, but her overprotective dad cares for her a bit too much! Learn to let go, Balto!)
- The fact that she can be both serious and playful
Cons:
- She can be a bit annoying with the whole "correcting other's grammar" thing (really, who did she get that from?)
- At times, she does have a bit of an annoying voice (it makes a while to get used to!)
. . . That's pretty much it.

I thought she was a pretty well developed character, and I would not replace her. Well for the Pros she had real emotions I thought and acted like any other young adolescent, she was confused, mad, scared, all of those mixed in. She made me believe the she was feeling all of those emotions. For her attitude I thought it fit her well, and made her a better character. And now for the Cons, wow I cant really think of any, well maybe the fact that she was so oblivious to the fact that she was part wolf, but yet she was just confused and would not accept it. Once again it makes her more real.
(as you can tell I am more of a WQ fan than a WoC fan)

Well developed character, is a perfect way to say about aleu but I also agree the grammar thing would be one of my cons.

>.>Whats wrong with correcting other people's grammer? If you don't tell them, how else will they know? I've been known to correct grammer myself, even though I sometimes do it myself on purpose, but heh....

Well I dislike aleu because of her attitude she didn't need to have such an annoying attittude to lead a wolf pack maybe just a litle but not that much that much,
Cons
trusts anyone really easyli
belives in a bunch of junk
doesn't respect balto not even if he is her dad
cares more about herself.
her voice is too anoying
gets too much screentime
too silly (like thinking to lead caribu acroos an ice bridge trough the sea)
wants to do only what she wants
Pros
has ridiculous vitions and besides that none
I think universal studios made a big mistake by making aleu and I'm glad universal studios ignored her and didn' bring her back it was the best thing they could of done with aleu ignore her.

Actually she does have respect for her dad. Its the stuborn-ness that makes her looks as if she doens't respect Balto, in which is where she gets her stuborn-ness(is that even a word?)
She does care for more than herself. Remember when she went to go help Nava? Trying to lead a wolf pack across the great water? If she only cared for herself, she would have just ignored them...
Just my opinion....

I suppose that without her attitude and ways she behaves the movie wouldn't have been what it is, she wouldn't have gone so far. Also the emotional conflict wouldn't have been so big. Her ways shaped the movie in way...

I agree with you on that point.
I mean, think about it: If Aleu was adopted in the first place, she probably would have never learned the truth about her heritage from her father (like from when the hunter was about to shoot her). She probably would have learned it the hard way (like through gossip from other dogs or something like that).
And she did seem to be a well-developed character throughout the sequel by showing her "true self", if I may say that. She doesn't seem to be too self-centered (then she probably would have left her father with the pack and not realized her destiny); I mean, why do you think she stuck with her father through the whole thing and even helped out Nava when he was floating away from the rest of the clan?
And besides, she cares for her dad (in her own way), but she doesn't want to be treated like a child (like the whole fact that Boris is her "baby-sitter" and her dad calls her "his baby" and "a good pup" when she clearly is old enough to find her own way through life). Sure, Balto thinks she's stubborn and all, but it's her way of trying to prove to her father that she doesn't need him to be with her all of the time or to be as protective as he is of her. (At least he finally realized that it was time to let go in the end, and that he helped her find her "true" home . . . this reminds me of the quote that Boris and Balto in the movie about Aleu:
Balto: "When the right time comes, she'll find a home."
Boris:"Yes, but when the right time comes, will you let her?"
I rest my case. (what case?)
Maybe these qualities of Aleu's personality make her such a likeable and popular character that she is to many fans on here (my opinion on this, of course).
*cough* But I digress . . . . (I really need to write an article . . )

No, I wouldn't switch her. But her pros are; She's deffentaly not a girly-girl, She thinks before she speaks (Sometimes!), She's good at grammer (And I suck! EEK! Help me Aleu!)
And her cons; She's rude to Balto, she is a bit self obsessive, and last but deffentaly not least; she is drawn badly.
