Hahah no the Blue Ray DVD has much more and way better of everything, I know because I watched both the HD DVD abd the Blue Ray DVD and there is a huge and very noticible difrence.

I think that none will never really take off. The same thing happened to other formats such as Audio DVDs, Laserdiscs...
The biggest problem with these high definition formats is that you need the material to go with (HD TV, high priced player...), and that there are two formats which will be sure to confuse people.
DVDs are more than enough for 95% of people. (I'm not saying that HD DVDs aren't good, but the difference is really not as big as it was between VHS and DVD)

There is nothing in Blu-ray or Hddvd format right now.

And as steet said. The price for any of it is too high.

HDTV(good one) 799+$
Blu-Ray player- 1000+$
Blu-Ray disk- 70+$
Hd DVD disk- 40+$

My movies arent worth that much. The only difference in Blu-Ray to HD DVD is 1080p, I think...from last i remember, 1080i and 1080p are too close in quality for it to make any major difference.
