Well, i know, yes everyone has seen the end of Balto 3 and saw the new plane, the 'Balto Flyer', that was built after the old plain was destroyed, but what really happened? The dogs still had their jobs and Nome had a new plane. And also, how did the dogs deliver the mail in Summer when there was no snow? I have quite a lot of questions about the end and i though i would share my thoughts here on the forums and hear what others have too say. I think the plane delievers the mail in Summer when the dogs can't and the dogs still have their jobs in winter. But that's my thought. What do you think about the end? What do you think happened?

I'm not to certain, but perhaps Kodi became a lead sled dog like Balto did,and maybe Dusty got the position behind him?

I don't see why the dogs wouldn't be able to deliver the mail in summer too. I would think that Duke was giving Balto what he wanted (to fly), and then he probably left town.

Maybe in the summer the dogs could deliver the mail by pulling a sled with wheels (although it doesnt make it much of a sled!)

There is still snow during the summer, admitedly not much, but still snow non the less.
There were quite a few unanswered questions at the end of WoC but since Universal is'nt planning on bithering with Balto anymore I doubt we'll ever know.

hmm, maybe i should have explained more about the summer thing. Well, there isn't enough snow for the sled to travel easily, and the evidence is this: in Wolf Quest, it's summer and there is no snow, only some little specs and at the end of the movie when its winter. So in the Balto films, there is no snow in summer. there was also no snow at all at the end of Balto 3. How could the team possibly pull the sled? The only reason is if they had wheels. I agree with Steet, duke most likly left, but im still puzzled about the summer problem! I'm confused, why do you guys think they could run in summer? I would really like too know!

Well I was working on real life but seeing as the Balto movies are movies the animators would've wanted summer to look completely diferent to winter so that the young audience would know when it's summer and when it's winter. Movies often exagerrate things.

Exactly. The producers of the movie would tell you "Nobody says that anything in a movie has to be realistic."

Weather in the Summer in Nome... well let's take a look.

http://www.nomealaska.org/vc/cam-page.htm

that is the live webcam for the Nome Visitor's Center.

Is it just me or is that snow

I can't find on weather.com or anythign if it actually snowed. It's saying it was light drizzle all day yesterday and nothing happened today. But that definitelly looks like snow to me. If you guys catch this webcam at night it's a little harder to tell what's actually on the ground but you can see if I remember right.

Anything could have happend at the end of that movie.......but I'd say in my mind Balto finally got what he wanted and Kodi, became the lead dog of the sled team...

i agree with Jennalover4ever, it was most likly all a happy ending and that, but i am still on this summer thing! Ok, yea, in Nome there is some snow in summer, but i still don't think there is enough to pull the sled. And you all saw at the end of Balto 3, NO SNOW! So in the Balto movies, there is sunny lovely summers with NO SNOW. so how could you pull a sled? This is a Balto movie and there wasn't any snow in summer so how do they pull the sled? They can't! because there was no snow! That's why i think duke could take the mail in summer. But i am finding this a little confusing :?

It's a movie...they wanted the ending to be all happy and lovely, they probably did'nt think twice about the fact the sled could'nt run with no snow, they just wanted a 'happily ever after' ending.

Yea, that's what i thought! in Summer, they used the plane and in winter the used the dogs. But, i guess it was just meant to be all a happy eneding not really thinking about it, but it's nice to have an imagination about these things. I still think that it was plane=summer and dogs=winter though. I know, if it was that they would have gave us more of a clue at the end, but thats what i lile to think!^^
