have you ever noticed that Star doesnt have a star shape on his fur anywhere? Why do you think that they name him Star? :?

His name could of been inspired from a real dog or something from the people who designed him maybe.

Well, he has yellowish fur.
Also, in my dog game I named my dog Star because of the yellowish fur.

(Note: That purpleish-little dog isn't Star, by the way. It says their names on my Balto 2 movie. -It had a preview of Balto 1-)

Well that must be wrong, because the yellowish dog is Kaltag...Star is the purple small one.

I would think he was named like this because he gets it by Kaltag during all the film, so that's why he sees stars...

It could be any number of reasons, most likely he's named after a dog that ran in the serum rum, like another dog on the team Balto was on, or, it just sounded good to them like Togo said, or even like Steet said, coz he's always seeing stars, lol.

Hhmm, well, just because his name is Star doesn't mean he has a star shape on his body or whatnot. I mean, my name's Petra, but that doesn't mean that I'm a town made out of rocks that's located in Egypt.

However, all the others might be right. Only the directors and producers know.
