What happened twice on the forums make me think that allowing the guests to post can be a bad idea.
But at the same time, these type of people can still register and post the same things, it will only dissuade them a bit.
I'm just afraid that it will also dissuade the normal people from posting, because registering, even simple, is an action that takes time and so is dissuading.
Personnaly, I hate being forced to register to post one or two messages, but if it's the only solution, I'll do it.
What do you think?

i said yes because you know whos online and you can control them and if you have to band them !

I vote yes because it will cut down on spammers and people that bash Balto and its fans. I've already had trouble, and had to ban someone on my forum . I didn't allow guests to post when that happened and still don't allow them to. I still allow them to look at what has been posted though.

I voted "Yes" because most of the guests that are posting are haters and they just bring the board down. If they don't like what we are talking about then they can leave. I still think you should let guests look at what we are talking about so that they can decide if they want to join or not. We, all know what happened with the last guest he really didn't do his research...

I answered yes. I think that if someone is stupid enough to post hate stuff as a guest but then has to register to post more (only to get banned), this just makes it seem like the only way to do solve this problem.

I still don't like people that do stuff like that.

Or you could just add one place on the forum where everyone (including guests) can post. If they want to bash, let them do it there and not on the main threads! That might be a better solution than banning guests. (I wish I could change my vote . . . )

Well, I think the general opinion is clear there; after all, most forums are like this, and I'm sure most people don't know that they can post as guests, so it won't make much difference.
I don't think I will make another board just for guests; as Nick said, they've got already many places on the site to express themselves (comments, shout box, email) so it won't be really a problem.
It's still a shame that such people exists and are cutting the rights to "good" people. I've already encountered that type of people on other forums, in reality there are not really Balto haters of whatever you want, but they just want to make laugh of everyone, just for the pleasure.

So, there it is : only registered people can post on these forums now.
