Felix Salen is the author of two books about a young deer named Bambi. The very first book is called, "Bambi: A Life in the Woods." The sequel is called, "Bambi's Chikldren." The sequel is EXREMELY hard to find, and I actually found it on accident in a Library that has a lot of old books and such. So I don't know if anyone out there may be able to find it, but it is quite good... but I think it is quite strange, or at least Bambi's daughter is. The storyline is also a bit weird, and it clashes with the original a lot, though it has the same feeling thropuigh out the book as you may have felt reding the furst.

Try looking them up at your local library! Possibly, you will find that both are very enjoyable! :D

There is something about the movie Bambi.

Diane, Walt Disney's daughter, when Walt came home and played the movie. Diane cried when Bambi's mother died.

After the movie, Diane asked Walt: " Daddy, why did Bambi's mother die?"

Walt: "That's what happened in the book."

Diane:"But you changed so much other stuff, why couldn't you change that?"

Odd.....

I love both Bambi and Bambi's Children, but I HATE Bambi 2. My gosh, disney, what were you thinking?! Anyway, I hope that they eventually make Bambi's Children into a cartoon, even though they probably never will... :(

I recently ordered both "Bambi: A Life in the Woods" and "Bambi's Children" on amazon.com, and they're both in good condition. I have yet to read both of them, but I will treasure them both for life. :D

They sound interesting and sorta remind me of Firebringer, because it's so rare to find books based on deer, where the deer are you know- Life like. Not where they live in a happy paradise with no dangers at all.
