Haha, okay, I decided to start my first ever fan fiction. This is somewhat of a 'teaser', if you will, so of course I'll try and finish it up.
I've been inspired greatly by Juuchan17 and CatWhoHas14Tails; even though my fanfic probably won't be as good as theirs, I'm just doing this for pure fun. Here are the first 3 paragraphs.

"Closer... Closer... Just a teeny bit more...
BAM!
Well, I guess it got away again.
“Hawk, what in the world are you doing? You can chase mice tomorrow morning. Go back to bed, sweetie; it’s late in the night!” A red-and-white body towered over me, and kind auburn eyes looked down at me. A slight chuckle escaped from the female’s mouth as she slowly picked me up by the scruff of the neck, and after dropping me on a soft woolen sheet, went to lie down next to me and my siblings. To the left of my side I can see Dingo, Cliff, and Aleu. To my right side laid Saba, and my best friend and sister, Laken. Laken isn’t like the rest of us; she has no mask on her face, except a bit of white on her muzzle. Cliff dreams to be a sled dog leader, like our brave father, Balto. Saba is a bit too much elegant and girly, if you ask me, and her twin brother, Dingo, loves to rough-house with her. Aleu looks just like dad, except maybe a bit more wolf-like than father. Aleu is very annoying, what with her howls and such, but once you really get to know her and put aside her screechy howls, she’s pretty cool.
And last, but certainly not least, me, Hawk! I’m the only one of my siblings that has a red stripe going down my muzzle, that is, if you don’t count Aleu, of course. Slowly, my little legs took me over to Laken’s body, and after I dropped again for the second time, I instantly fell asleep.
Boy, that sure was a tiring job, chasing and tricking a mouse.

A howl rang out like thunder, and as I awoke with a jerk, I felt that someone was tugging at my tail, and since I was a bit groggy myself, I couldn’t really notice who that someone was. Soon, as both my mind and eyes cleared for a bit, I noticed that it was Laken, who was tugging playfully in her sleep. I almost forgot about the howl, and looked around, until I could see Aleu’s head, which was tilting backwards, up towards the sky, and out of her mouth came yet another screechy howl that sounded more like a bark. I could hear my mother, Jenna, walking over towards us; she always wakes up before all of us. I don’t know why; if I were her, I would just keep on sleeping, not having a single care in the world.
“Alright, everyone, time to go.” She sighed, a frown upon her careful face. Time to go? Time to go where? I thought to myself as I walked behind her, Laken right beside me. Soon, father appeared out of nowhere, carrying Aleu in his mouth. Both of my parents’ eyes seemed full of sadness and pain; but of course, I’m just a pup, so how would I know?
We finally arrived to a small crate on the side of the street, where many people were bustling here and there. Mom picked us up one by one, and lightly plopped us in the wooden box, but Dad couldn’t let go of Aleu. My mother finally convinced him, and my still being a bit sleepy, decided to lay down for a little rest before rough-housing with Laken.

“Aww, he’s so cute!” A high-pitched voice squealed out, and as I tiredly opened my eyes, I could see a child’s body near the crate, her hands tightly shut around the metal edges of the box.
“I like this one, ma... He seems so playful!” The little girl patted Dingo’s head, and slowly but reassuringly, she picked him up with two hands.
And without another ‘good-bye’, he was gone. Mom and dad took this quite hard, and I could hear mother quietly sniffling. So, we were getting adopted... Brilliant. But why? Why now? Why couldn’t we just stay with our current family, and be go-lucky forever? I didn’t want to leave my family, but perhaps a bit of adventure never hurt anyone, and as I thought about this, Saba was slowly getting picked up by a boy, who was giggling excitedly at the thought of having a new best friend. I winced; both of my siblings were gone, and God forbid, maybe forever. I didn’t want to think about it, but soon, my soul just ripped itself apart as I watched another boy pick up Laken; my dear Laken, my best friend, my most treasured sister. I was about to cry myself to tears, making sure that Cliff and Aleu didn’t see me, but they were busy biting at each other’s ears and the like. After just one teardrop, an elegant woman came by over the crate, and mom and dad looked worriedly at her.
She was utterly ugly."

There. Whoop-de-doo. 3 paragraphs. Awesome.
It might be rated PG 13+ for language and violence, but I'm still thinkin' about it.
Questions? Comments? Critiques? I'm all for it.

I like it so far, but where's Kodi? My assumption is that you haven't seen Balto 3. Apart from that, it's excellent!

No, don't worry. I did watch Balto III, but his name is Cliff in the story, that is... Before he gets adopted. :D
Thanks for the comment!

I honestly have no idea why I'm posting this, but here it is anyway. Probably liven up this topic.

“Now, now, dear boy, stop fidgeting! We’re almost there.”
Long, red fingernails were around my body, and those shocking nails belonged to two, dry, bony hands. The woman’s face I can barely look at; her cheeks were high up, and her curly blonde hair was filled with knots (you’d think she would buy a hairbrush what with all that money!). She had a giant mole under her left eye, and I was surprised that it didn’t swallow her whole blue eye. And her clothes; eek. I could tell she loved the colors teal and purple.
Finally, we arrived at a luxurious wooden house, and I gasped out of its beauty. A stuffed caribou’s head was on top of the door.
“Little pup, what is with your drooling?” The woman’s raspy voice rang out like the demon in my ears, and I noticed a string of drool hanging down my mouth. Whoops. I guess my wolf side is really showing itself.
As we entered the house, I was astounded. A bear’s head was on top of the crackling fire place, and a teal-and-yellow rug rested neatly in the middle of the hallway. I practically took my breath away.
There was a leather couch in the corner of the room, and as the ugly lady lowered me to the floor, I could see that the tag said, ‘Made in New York.’
I never heard of that place, but it sure sounds neat. Suddenly, three dogs came running out of the kitchen, and surrounded me, yipping, yapping, and sniffing.
“Scruffy, Arky, Cane! Stop that! Leave poor Buddy alone!” The woman scolded, and the dogs backed away, with their tails between their legs.
Buddy? What kind of name is Buddy?

Months passed, and those months soon turned into a year. I’ve been growing rapidly, eating as much food as I can but still keeping a slim body. I’ve made great friends with Arky, Scruffy, and Cane, although I’m a little unsure about Arky. Ever since I learned his name properly, he’s been acting strange around me lately, and Cane and Scruffy always tell me that he’s gay, but I never believed them, that is – after a couple of accidental nuzzles and cuddling. I didn’t like Arky, but Arky was head-over-heels for me. After living about a year with these 3 morons, I grew used to them, and I felt that that friendship would never break, until one day...
“C’mon, Buddy, race ya to the garden!” Cane laughed out, and I huffed in anger.
“My name’s Hawk, Cane. Hawk.” I couldn’t help but chuckle a bit later on, and ran on after him. Arky and Scruffy decided to join in, and before we knew it, it turned into a friendly game of tag instead of a competitive race. Finally, all 4 of us trotted to the garden that rested behind the old house, and after we wrestled each other, I heard a familiar bark. Being the curious dog that I am, I walked quickly over to the side of the garden, and saw the source of the bark.
It was Laken.

There. And to anyone of you that are thinking, no, this isn't an incest-love-story-what-have-you. Laken and Hawk are just really close brother and sister, and they love each other like best friends, but not any further than that. I just realized that my story sounded like they loved each other. Whoo. Go me.
