I was looking at an Alaskan atlas one day and I found the town of Kaltag!! I was just skimming over it and I found Kaltag! It's a town on the Yukon river. I thought that was really cool. I thought Universal just thought it up (it IS a cool name).

It's kinda funny cause one of my wolf character's name is Kodiak. I thought him up several years ago. Then B3 came out and Balto's son is Kodi. Sorry that was really random.

Actually, Kodiak is an island off of Alaska. (and a type of bear . . . and camera film . . . . is it?)
The Aleu name was obvious of where that came from, but many of the others? Who knows? (Especially Dingo and Saba . . . . WTH were they thinking, if at all?)

What a coincidence...On the french side, we also found that (Wolf_250 found that while looking at maps)
BTW, I think this topic doesn't really suit in the Fan section. I'll move it to the B1 one.

Bummer. Now I feel like a (geek). I thought it was some knowledge that I found that not many other people knew about. But at least I knew where they got Muk and Luk (but not until recently).

I bet Jenna was found as a sweet name...when you think of Jenna you think of sweet and strong....and Boris is an Inuit name I think...

One day I was looking for the meaning of the name Nikki on the Web. But the site said that Nikki is a "pet name, feminine form of Nicholas"...how come?!? There's something far from clear...what do you think about?

Well, I think it's a name that can be used by both male and female. I remember seeing at least once a female character named Nikki.
