Do you think that the film should have stuck closer and more accuratly to the real story?
I think that Togo should have been included and the other sled dog teams should have got a mention. I mean, one team of dogs can't, when you think about it realisticly, cover all that distance in one day.
But it's good that Balto was part wolf, I believe because it promotes that wolves aren't bad like people imagine. If it wasn't for Balto that I'd never be so obsessed with wolves!

Hmm, I don't think they should have, I mean Togo was cool and did run really far but Balto was so famous because he brought the anti-toxin into Nome, they made him half-wolf to make the story a bit more dramatic and to set him aside from the other dogs (I'm so glad they did) I thought the story was perfect the way it is and, really, all the dogs were heroes, Balto's team were nearly blinded by a white-out and all the dogs had to fight their way through terrible storms and really rough conditions, it would have complicated the story if they included Togo aswell.

A story closer to the real fact would've been harder to follow (remember that Universal made this film for children), and they chose Balto as main character becase he is the most famous dog of the "serum run".
I agree...

Eh, I don't agree. If the story was more closer to the true story, then it would of be.. Well, just.. Let me put it this way ... Boring. I mean, what would happen to Jenna? Muk & Luk? Boris? Togo was cool, and all.. but nah. I like it just like it is. It's a great movie just the way it is, and it should stay that way.

I would have to say that had Universal made it more true to fact they might as well have made a non animated documentary for the history channel. (That’s not to say I find the history channel boring I actually really like it heh) But if you were to compare that to the movie I think a good majority of viewers would find it very dry and boring.
