I have found out that the Whitewolf is a native american legend, The white wolf is said to come to you in times of great need to guide you and give advice, sound familiar, the whitewolf came to Balto when he was about to give up thinking he had failed and lost the medicine and Rosy until the whitewolf arrives, The whitewolf in the legends is also said to come to you in dreams to guide you, Nava said Aniu a whitewolf came to him in a dream vision and told him who would lead the pack/clan to safety. At least we know the makers of Balto did thier homework in regard to the whitewolf.

It would appear that they did, I wish they would have done the same for the animation and dialogue

Yeah I heard that but also of the Ghost Brown Bear, the ression why its called that is because every 100th brown bear is pure white and its exreamly hard to get a glimpse of one and it means so much to the land, shoot im trying to remember what it means hmmmm forgot but as soon as I find out i'll let you know.

I first heard about it from a friend at a wolf conservation center, I told him about Balto and how great the whitewolf scene was and he brought up this story about the legend of the whitewolf, so when I got home I did google search whitewolf, native american legend and there it was, pretty cool. The brown ghost bear was there too plus tons of others but I only posted the whitewolf coz that had the most relevance to Balto (this is Balto source afterall).

It was on I think Discovery channel, but im sure you can find any info just by looking it up.

That's cool to know that the people who did the movie put something like that in the movie. Thanks for the info. I'm curious about this whole white bear thing, sounds interesting.

The whole movie is based on the Native Belefes, like the spirit guides, to the native culture they beleve exactly what moru said, and the best place to find a spirit guide is alway in a cave filled with lighted pictures.

The totem poll is another noticible thing, the top is the leader of the other animals on the poll, it shows the other animals or any animal conected to the ones on the poll to there destany.

So teckicly Wolf Quest is more fact then the original Balto, the reasson is, Balto never went though fighting bares and all that dangorus events, he just lead the team that brought back the medicen and thats it.

In wolf quest, with the spirit guides the tottem poll, they way Aleu found her spirit guide, the cave being the number one spot to look, fallowing the Raven the leader of the start tottem poll is all 100% fact, because that is apart of the Native cultre and Belefes and they have been doing that for 100s and 100 of years, even farther back in time they did that.

Aleu my not be real or the rest of the movie, but all the belevefs and cultrues and sceans of real events that the natives went though makes Wolf Quest more fact them Balto.
