That's what the edit button is for.
Anyway, to me Balto is pretty popular. If it wasn't, then this site wouldn't be as popular as it is. He isn't as popular as most of us would want him to be, but he is basically known by most people around the world.

If you mean popular in the story then I agree with tibb_wolf, it just would'nt have had such the same amount of impact and soul.
If you mean if the movie as a whole being popular then this site is surely a testament as to how popular it is already.

It isn't really popular unfortunately...You probably all know the reasons already, but Universal has never let this film any chance.
I would have been so happy if it has been as popular as TLK...The sequels would have had real animation budgets, there would be a lot of merchandise, it would have become a classic that everyone know and that we would often see in off-topic subjects of the world, like TLK...
I'm doing what I can do, but that will never be enough.

I wish Balto was as popular as TLK too Steet, I love Balto merchandise, and as for you doing what you can, we're all here to help and every one of us is on your side, I'm sure it's not all that bad, at least all of us know and love Balto, that's a start right.

It has been said that Balto should have been another TLK, but if it was I don't think it would have the same appeal or be valued as much as it is by the fans.

Well you're wrong on that point : Balto is much less known, but look at how many regular members there are on the site...
