I started Balto: Darkness this weekend, and I have to say that it's... violent.
And bloody.
I didn't really plan it that way, it just kind of happened...
Anyway, I hope to have it done soon.
If any of you want to understand it a little better, you should read my re-write of B3 and "Who She Is".
The second one's REALLY important, as you will have no clue who Shade is if you don't.
Well, just wanted you all know that, so that you'll understand the story a little better when I get it done.
Steele and Shade.... that's a combination for death if I ever heard one.
Also, I finished "When Things Are Not As They Seem" so that one should be hitting the site at the next update.
My next idea is kinda controversial, and I was wanting your help.
It's called "Balto: When Mistakes Are Made"
Basically, Balto get's into a relationship with another female (named Angel) that he considers just friends, but it goes further than that, a lot further.
Balto wakes up one morning to find he... well... how do I say this?
He cheated on Jenna.
Jenna is gone with Rosy on a trip during this time, and when she returns, Balto decides he must tell her, though Angel has promised to keep the incident a secret, Balto can't look Jenna in the eyes knowing what he's hiding.
So he tells her.
The story (while painful) would explore the relationship Balto and Jenna have to an extent we have never seen.
Can their relationship stand this overwhelming weight?
Or will it disentegrate?
I really don't know.
But anyway, what do you think?
Answer the poll and tell me, I'm kinda stuck on this one.

Sounds cool to me.. I was a little mislead by the end of the last part so I think this would be the most logical thing to do..I also dont think of that sort of thing as violent seeing as these type of fictions are usually the best ones, and on top of that would be the fact that I'm a HUGE fan of your work and really think that it just keeps getting better and better with every story..so of course I voted yes indefinitely! KEEP IT UP!

I'm well on my way to completing Darkness, and then it's on to "When Mistakes Are Made..."
I'm going to write it... I think.
Anyway, Darkness is coming along well.
It certainly is dark!
I don't really like what I've decided to do in the end.... I've got to kill one of my characters.
Not to ruin the story I won't tell you who, but will give you two hints.
It's a she, and she is a mother.
Well that probably helped a lot didn't *he says sarcastically*
I don't want to kill her, but for another idea I've had recently, it must happen.
Oh well....
I'll keep you all posted, and hopefully it will be finished this weekend!

I've done some thinking, and I don't think Balto and Jenna's
realationship is going to take him cheating on her.
I'm still going to write it though.
They'll get back together, don't worry, although the method is...
bad for Jenna.
It will take something severe for her to see that Balto still loves
her and that she still CAN love him. (Whether she does or not is something
for her to decide)
I got this idea from thinking about a comment someone made on "A Broken Trust". They said that they liked stories about love, and that I should write more of them.
If you haven't noticed, love is a pretty strong thread in my
stories, and so I was thinking about how to go about writing another one
along the lines of "A Broken Trust" , and that's when I had the idea.
What better way to write a story about love, than to end it,
completely, and make the two start all over again. Balto was my chioce
because I don't think the other character's mates would re-consider, where Jenna might... if the right circumstances came up. The other relationships
are strong, but not strong enough to take that.
Think about it, what made Jenna realize she loved him in the first movie?
He proved himself to her (and the rest of the town) so... he'll just have to prove himself again. (Not by making a sled run this time, don't
worry, I'm not going to re-hash the movie. I hate it when people do that!)
This time, it's going to be much harder, and will involve Jenna directly.
He's going to have to risk his life for her, even though she doesn't love
him anymore. This might (I say might, because I really don't know) re-ignite
the flame that used to burn so bright within her, but was snuffed out by
Angel, or more accuratly what Balto did with her.
So I think it will work out.
As to the thinking that Balto would never do that to Jenna.
I've found giving your character's failings (even big ones) helps
the reader accept them as real all the more. (No one is perfect after all,
and perfect characters tend to be disregarded by readers)
Anyway, I hope that answers your questions as to "When a Mistake is Made..."
Now, on to Darkness! And yes, it is sad (Steele kills alot, and their deaths are violent!) and you
will "hurt" for the characters, especially their famlies, that they leave
behind, but.... that's kind of the purpose of the story. As you feel
compassion for the characters and what they've lost.... you'll begin to hate Steele, for what he's doing to them, and Shade, for helping him. This is the emotion (toward Steele) that I'm looking for, I want you to cheer in elation at the ending, because it's... different.
Did you read "Who She Is"?
If so, did you like it? What did you think of Shade?
I thought he was pretty cool.
A demon wolf... nuf said.
Anyway, if you haven't, you've GOT to read "Who She Is" before Darkness, and it wouldn't hurt to read B3 either.

Too bad you can't read my fanfic Well not exactly that, but...In my story, it's Balto who think that Jenna cheated him, so he think she doesn't love him anymore.
