This is a fairly old book by a guy named R. D. Lawrence. It is basically the story of how the author buys 2 wolf cubs off of a Native American (that had killed the mother and one cub) and raises them, eventually releasing them into the wild.
This is a true story (not just based on one). I fell in love with the cubs as I read their story. It's very interesting to read about how someone could actually go about doing that (raising wolf cubs and releasing them).
I just thought some of you guys might like to check it out (given you can find it, as I just happened to get it in a used book sale and have yet to find it in a library near me).
Other books by R.D. Lawrence are: In Praise of Wolves and The North Runner
NOTE: This book does not intend to encourage anyone to go out and attempt to raise wolf cubs.
Cool, sounds good, there was a guy in the newspaper a while ago who raised two bengal tiger cubs in a small apartment in canada somewhere then took them to the wild, taught them to hunt and released them to the wild!
