The line in the song "One nation controlled by the media" shows itself in my Mom, who doesn't want me on this forum or any site that I can talk to people I don't know for that matter. Why? Because she saw all of these bad things on TV that talk about the bad things that happen on chat rooms. I guess Green Day was speaking one sad truth about some, mabye most people here in the US, don't you think?

I love that song, I thought that Green day was pretty brave doing that song, and it's probably a bit true about every country in the world, exept maybe where they don't have a TV!

I love greenday. personaly I think they speak thier mind. Some songs may be " overly dramatic" to some ppl. But I think they are kinda represenatives for wutt they believe in. They do like wutt they do. My mom is kinda that way too lol. Wutt can i say im a greenday fool they rock. after all its just lyrics to a song and ppl like them!!!

Yea, thats the sad thing about this country. Parents watch the News so much, they believe everything said on there is true. Well, look at the weather, half the time their wrong so this already proves that 'you can't always believe what you people say' is true.

As for Green Day, i can't stand them. Everyone else at my school is like in love with them. So, whenever Green Day comes up in my chats with my friends, im usually excluded from the conversation. One of them keeps asking me what i think of this song by thim or this one or this one (replace the 'this one's with song titles) and i always reply, "never heard it" Generally he'll say 'What? you've never heard this song?(lol)"

I agree with you. I personally don't like this song that much, but I have heard it. I actually just found out about this thing with my Mom and this forum after she saw that Dateline show about internet predators and those kinds of sick idiots. Sure that's a rather reliable source, but come on, the internet isn't all bad! Just look at this site! (BTW the only songs I like from that band is Boluvard of Broken Dreams and When September ends.)
