I'm working on a "table free" version of the site (using CSS styles with DIV). This should make pages quicker to appear, and more "web validated".
I would be interested if you could test it now, to check compatibility with all browsers.

Link : http://baltosource.timduru.org/baltodiv.html

You can use the links in the left menu to test speed (not the other links that will get you to the current site)

Don't tell me about the checkboxes in the poll, I know the problem.
You may not see it but the site code is very different...

Well it's a good thing, the goal is to make it look as much as it is currently. Then it will be easier to modify the design of the site.
I've already added a few things though (new buttons, different links display under banner)

Could you also precise which browser and versions you are using?
I've tested it under Mozilla Firefox 1.5 and Internet explorer 6 (not SP2)

ModzillaFireFox. And it seems just normal like the normal site.

Seems no difference at all...use with IE seems same as well

For me IE lags badly

Hm...I like it, but the only thing I really notice is the text and the new bubbles for the poll. Oh, and the browser I'm using is Mozilla Firefox. I haven't really looked around the entire thing, just the main page. Is there anything else that we need to see besides the main page?

On my computer, the site is 3x quicker with IE than Firefox...Especially with this version. But I don't know why.

Ops, sorry, I admit, it wasn't clear. It wasn't a joke, I can see it's faster. Especially in the fan arts section, where usually my comp needs some seconds to download all the pictures.

Yay for div layers! Nice drop shadow on the upper nav bar. Makes it easier to read now.
Everything looks great in Firefox. ^^

Here's what I've seen so far.

Home Page: visual

The only thing I see with Firefox is that the poll out of line and getting into the news text. The poll has the right kind of buttons: radio buttons.

With IE the poll is okay where it is and it has radio buttons, it's just that the radio buttons have a Navy blue box around them.

The new rollovers for the links work for both Firefox and IE.

Also the Navy blue text box for logging in is a nice touch instead of having a white one. This is true for both Firefox and IE.

Home Page: tech

Both Firefox and IE load just fine.

Fan Art: visual

Same as before with Firefox: the poll is out of line and getting into the galleries.

Same as before with IE: Poll is in right place just that the radio buttons have a Navy blue box around them.

Fan Art: tech

Loads just fine with Firefox.

Loads just fine with IE but it loads all of the galleries in one page instead of separating them into pages.

The link works fine for me. I tried to use only CSS instead on my site, but it's VERY hard to do, so I stuck with tables.

How do you you think using CSS vs. Tables on your site will help Steet (other than making it faster)?

You've done a really good job on the new version of the site Steet.

People who are having slow responses are probably having difficulties with their intrawebs- either on Mozilla or Internet Explorer. The same happened with me, and all I had to do was adjust the settings.

Site works good in Internet Explorer & Mozilla.
Average Load Time: <0.01sec @ 556Mbps (OC)

Separate visuals and content, so that it's easier to manage the site.
The main problem with CSS styles is compatibility (especially BECAUSE of Internet explorer...)

That's a strange problem, do you have a picture of this? It doesn't do that on my computer, and I have Firefox. Do you use the latest version?
