I was just looking at the articles on the main Balto source, you all know how most peoples names have a flag pic of where they're from next to them, well I remembered an episode of CSI ( Fur and loathing ) and it got me thinking, what do you think it would be like if there was a Balto source get together ( for lack of a better phrase ) like the one for all the people on that particular episode, where all the users of this site are invited and people show fan-art, fan-fics, any merchandise they have etc. It would'nt be that hard to organise I would'nt expect just choose a good location ( a legitimate one, not someones house or anything ) a suitable time and date and tickets or something like them that users here could order via E-mail, and have name tags for everyone so we know who's who e.g. my screen name Whitewolf(uk) my real name Rebecca, they would say that sort of thing on them, tell me what you guys think!

Please note: This is only a suggestion any actual movements towards this sort of thing probably should'nt be done, especially not without Steet's say so!

Well, I think that would be pretty difficult, since everybody lives in different countries and everything.

Well I was thinking that if this was given the go ahead ( so to speak ) then it should be arranged for a suitable time, like in a couple of years time to give everyone interested the time to raise enough money to go to where ever it is decided to stage the event!

Well I'm only 11 and if it's gonna be held in a couple of years time I still wouldn't be old enough, but it would be really cool for everyone else to meet up! But, the thing it, some people like me live in England, which if the situation was given the go ahead, many people would be unable to attend this event because of the range of difference to where people live, but anyway, I think it's a cool dream.

I live in England Merry_Bnw and I would go with my family anyway, but even if your parents say no to going with you I'm sure someone here would take you with them if you really wanted to go, also it would be a friendly thing just like this site nothing gross or horrible, no swearing and no sex, I don't see anything wrong with younger people going, as long as your parents agreed though!!

Yeah. It would be really nice to get to meet everyone, too! It's like, a chance of a lifetime to get to meet other people who love Balto as much as you do!

This is a very good suggestion, and I'm all for it and all, but somehow, I just don't see it happening...just the preparation alone, the cost of travel, and all that has to be put into consideration -- some people just won't have enough...

Yea, someone else had an idea like WhiteWolf, but it never hapened. And if we tell our parents that we are going to like Hershey Park to have a get together with some people from a site, they might think that you guys are trying to kidnapp us or something.

Yeah, that would be REALLY hard!!! But I have often thought about how neat it could be... nice thought, though!

Yes, hard, but not impossible, with enough help, my mum included (she used to be an accountant) and an OK from Steet and plenty of time it is possible to pull off, I've seen worse ideas with less help work!, why not this. I have a good way to make plenty funds to get this off the ground but only if enough people are interested, Steet thinks it's a good idea and plenty of help it would work!

If we can get an OK from Steet, I'd do anything you needed me to do to help!

Now that I had thought about, which is why it would be a better idea (if it works) to host somewhere in the US, there are more people on balto source from the USA than there are from everywhere else!!
