[This is a very short introduction, I want to know if you think I should contiune as I don't write Balto ever. I never have tried. ^^ I am so sorry for how terribly short it is as it is only barely an introduction to see i I should continue.]


They had taken him from Nome in the fog and rush of a snowy day, to this broken down heartless place of a zoo where they kept animals day and night in a cage never to roam freely again.


Gone from Jenna, his pups, even that brute Steele he was begging to miss...was she even alive? His pups had they had children of there own. They were grown by now...they had to be. Would he ever get out of here? Or would he die in this cage.

Even if he was to return he was so old, was Jenna even alive? He heaved himself up. Days just weren't the same here, he was reminded of the lonely times on the boat...but no Boris was here. He had barely got to say goodbye to his family let alone Boris.

From behind him rose softly a little pup, a huskie. He was in awe of this 'Balto' having been told stories from his parents and the other pups. Was this Balto just as they had described him as? He crossed the street weaving through the brush as he snuck low in the bushes and scrambled to get a view in to the zoo. It was early morning, the light had barely risen and the city was already alive.

He peeked over the fence into the zoo and spyed the cage. Good, it wasn't open yet! He grinned and let out a yip and lept down squeezing through the small hole in the wall and he popped out stumbling and flaing his little legs as he tumbled rolling straight into the cage with an abrupt crash.

Balto leapt up and turned around, the pup scrambled and gasped stumbling back as he sat down, "I--I'm sorry I didn't mean to wake you!" The wolfdog smiled, "That's alright, most excitment I've gotten in a while." The pup smiled nervously peering into the eyes of this rather large dog? He had a warm inviting sense to him as the young pup gazed into his eyes. Drawing his his ears back shly he swallowed nervously tapping and lifting his paws.

"What brings you to the zoo?" Balto walked up to him now at the front of his 'pen' like structure and sat on his haunches, his hair had tinted a grey colour and though age was taking a toll on his body his personality and inner strength had withheld the test of time.

The little huskie sighed, "Well sir, my friends told me there was a Balto here." The pup was a little dispointed not to find the young strong wolfdog that he had been told stories of. But he had a strange feeling that this discovery would not remain a secret for long.

"Oh really did they?" Balto answered with a small grin as his grey hair lit up with the rising sun., "Yeah but I don't know what he looks li---"

"Yo-your Balto?" He piped up, within a moment of him flashing that grin he had realized that this had to be the famous wolf dog. Why else would anyone keep a wolf-dog in an enclosure, he drew closer to the cage with a grin

"Alaska's finest." He winked at the pup who looked like he was pracically going to fall over himself with joy.

It's a good start. And it's not that bad. Im sure with a little practice, you could start to write using dogs and wolf's easily. Samething with me. I had to get used to dog's when i began. I had gotten so used to humans because before Balto, my biggest thing was Harry Potter fic writing.

EDIT: with that update, its much better. Know that you've got one reader now.

Thanks I've never written anything Balto for before so I suppose I'll just practice, practice, practice.

For me I've ever writed anything and now I'm writing sometimes in ENGLISH and that is NOT my MAIN Language or NOT even CLOES as ONE.

In Papers my main language is totally only Finninsh and I don't even type it that much with PC anymore

Yeah that would be hard

I'lll have to re-do this pointless thing.

Very cool. Yep. All you have to do is practice. ^^ It took me a while to get used to using dogs/wolves, but now that all I do. ^^

I've written for dogs and wolves and such I've just never tried Balto. -laughs-

...I'm a very dumb person... lol

Well, you do very good for this being your first Balto fanfic, then. ^^
