sorry for the inconveinience heres part 1



Balto and Kaltag where going to Fairbanks in three days and balto decided to spend some time with Jenna.


meanwhile...


Jenna sat in the boiler room waiting for someone to talk to her, she just happened to look round when she spotted a very familiar wolfdog.

“Hello, Balto” she smiled warmly at her mate.

“Hi Jenna” he smiled nuzzling her and licking her head.

They where the last ones to leave the boiler room that night.




some time later…..




Balto was stuck in Fairbanks for a couple of weeks as there had been an large storm and the snow was blocking the route back to Nome, but eventually, when it cleared up Balto, Kaltag and the rest of the team ran back to Nome.

To his surprise Jenna sat waiting for him just outside of town.

"BALTO!!!!!” she shouted

“Jenna…”he whispered,looking wistfully at her now plump body,.

When he got there he climbed out of his harness and went to meet Jenna.“Balto, I ……”she collapsed on the floor panting heavily,

“SOMEBODY HELP!!!!!” shouted Balto as Kaltag rushed to his aid.

what seemed like hours later balto was allowed injto the vets surgery


“How many doctor?” asked rosey’s father sounding tired.

“She had eight, but only one survived” said the doctor sadly

Rosy who had stayed with Jenna during the birth, slowly walked into the waiting room.

“I'm sorry boy” whispered Rosy beginning to cry

“She had eight….now theres only one”


Balto ran into the birthing room where Jenna lay crying.

“Jen, what happened to them…did they just die?” he whispered sadly looking at the still bodies of his pups

“it’s all my fault, I should have tried harder, I killed your pups, I’m so sorry!”

Balto gasped

“It’s not your fault!”

“It is!” balto climbed on the counter to comfort Jenna, he nuzzled Jenna and said

“Well, what should we name her?” asked Jenna

“Kira...” he muttered looking at the white pup




“She looks just like my mother, oh, balto, theres something i've been meaning to tell you, ya see my mom....was part wolf ” jenna said looking ashamed, balto smiled.

“my mom was as white as snow and had a warm voice that made me feel safe, her name was Aniu”

“tell me about your child-hood” said Jenna

the tale lasted all night.


1 year later….


I wandered the streets of Nome, every dog I passed began to chatter amongst themselves, I don’t care though, I'm used to it.

I walked past a particular group of male dogs, who laughed hard at me.

“Hey, wolfy, where’s your pack?”

“Get lost Thunder ! Who’d want to be a dog like you anyway? anyway i could kill any of you if i liked”

“You think your strong mutt? You couldn’t fight your way out of a paper bag!” he laughed.

I turned, leaping, and pinning him down with no fuss at all.

“Who’s stronger now? I smirked,

“Kira! Get off of that dog now! You could have hurt him, he didn’t do anything to you so just leave him alone!” shouted pop charging over to me

I rolled my eyes and puffed loudly.

“Young lady, just because your part wolf don’t think you can go pushing everyone around,”

“im sick of this "YOUNG LADY" thing",she pulled a face and made a strange voice whilst saying "YOUNG LADY" "let’s face it, you don’t want me to grow up!”

“I do, its just…”

“leave me alone dad!” I said running away from him.

"I hope she’s not gonna be another alue!” sighed balto sadly thinking about his daughter.


Balto had noticed how his daughter was changing, her brown eyes had turned to blue and she now wore a love heart pendant which she had gotten for her birthday, she looked more wolf than Aleu and him put together!His daughter was growing up and there was nothing he could do about it.He feared that one day she may want to join a wolf pack of her own and leave him.

Meanwhile on the beach….

I lay on the sand


The dogs where having a meeting and just about all of the dogs in Nome where there, exept me.

Shadow, trotted over to me.

“hey, you ok” he asked.



Shadow was the wolfdog whom I am friends with (well lets face it Isecretly fancy him.)

"my dads treating me like a baby again, he just wont let me go, he still calls me yound lady blablabla, "I know whats best for you" yadda yadda yadda, i'm so totaly sick of it!"

“Hopefully he'll loosen up” he smiled, suddenly copper appeared with his gang, they burst out laughing,

“wolfys turned into a baby, does baby listen to daddy all the time, does baby wet the bed?!” he laughed,

“Leave her alone!” growled a voice; it was Shadow, the wolfdog I adore.

"ha, its wolfys boyfriend!”

"leave her alone!" Shadow repeated

the two growled circling each other

“That’s enough!” i suddenly snapped.


"I'm sick of you Thunder! so what if Shadows my "BOYFRIEND" its none of your buisness so just get lost!!! and i dont know how you can dare call someone, have you seen yourself, oh and dont try teasing me again, just dont coz i swear on my fathers grave that i'll rip your throat out, understand?"


Thunder whimpered and ran away with his gang.


"you said "so what if shadows my "BOYFRIEND"" did you mean it?"he asked

I stared at him "I'm so sorry i was a little forward and..."

then he KISSED me!!!!

I suddenly melted, time seemed to fly past my eyes and i thought i was going to faint.

Shadow, yes Shadow, had kissed me!



I closed my eyes and then pulled away


“Meet me later at the boiler room; I want to ask you something” he smiled walking away leaving me with my mouth gaping




later in the boiler room (ya know, the back bit where mom and dad had their first date).....

I found Shadow at the place where he said to meet him


"I've been waiting a long time to ask you this Kira, longer than i can remember, but……will you accept me as you’re mate?”

I was taken aback




“Of course Shadow" i smiled snuggling into his soft coat.

we stay there all night watching the auroras

Kira pt2 – secret love







I sat up in the Boiler room, sunlight illuminating my body.

I smiled at Shadow who lay beside me, we'd stayed here all night wathching the auroras.


OH NO! Pop! What will he say, I mean, what will he do! I can’t tell him about me and thunder! I just can’t!


At that moment Shadow woke up and smiled down at me


“Morning my sweet angel,” he whispered and nuzzled my silky coat, I smiled back then saddened.


“What’s up? Is it about last night or something else? Is it my fault?”


“No Shadow, it’s not your fault, you see, I don’t have a problem with us two, I mean, I love you so much, but what will my pop say?”


“Oh, he doesn’t like me does he, because I’m a wolf, well just don’t tell him, simple as that!”


“Thank you so much thunder, I love you!” I smiled nuzzling into his soft fur


“I love you too, and nothing will ever change that!” we kissed then got up and went their separate ways.


It is my birthday today.

When I went home and slid through the dog door as quietly as I could, I saw that pop had been sat in front of the fire watching me.


“Where have you been young lady!?”


“Um, I stayed over at Angel’s house last night…. and quit the “Young Lady” routine!”


“You never told me you where going there!”


“Last minute thing” I muttered then walked over to a small pile of gifts.


Dingo had gotten me an old bone from the back alley, kodi had gotten me a new collar, Saba had gotten me a human leg band, Angel had gotten me a dog bowl, mom and pop had gotten me a bandana (Black) Dave hadn’t gotten me anything as he was away on a racing trip and wouldn’t be back till the next week.


One thing was peculiar, there lay a little, velvet box.


I opened it to find a crystal pendant, the box didn’t have a name written on it, but I knew who it was from.


Shadow.


I took my old love heart pendant off and put my new gifts on (her pendant and leg band.)


I stood in front of rosey’s mirror.


I looked very feminine and grown up, although I already was.


“HMMMMM!” said balto smiling.


“I’m going out for a bit, OK?” I said


pop sighed, and then smiled, “Ok.”


I rushed out of the door and into the street straight to where Shadow waited.


“Thank you so much! I love it!” I smiled kissing him.


“S OK” he smiled then kissed me back.


“So, are we officially going out then?”


“Guess so!” he smiled


I can’t get her out of my head, she’s so beautiful, and I love her so much!


He looked at me.


Her blue/ purple eyes, the brown spot on her back, her brown ear and tail tips, and her sisters markings.


And her smile, her laugh!


She’s wearing her pendant! I knew she would love it!


we smiled then walked together down the street.


we where perfect together and we knew it!


we walked past a crowd of snooty females.


The leader, who seemed to fancy Shadow, was appalled.


They all started chattering.


But we didn’t care, we loved each other and that’s all that mattered.


From the shadows someone was watching and snarled deeply.


“She’s betraying the family and herself! Shadow will pay!” kodi growled
