The topic title explains it all. I may as well tell you guys the entire story; maybe you guys know what is wrong with me:

Ok, so it all started when I simply went that my aunt's cookout. It was a typical day, and nothing seemed to wrong. We arrived there as we normally did, and we went inside with the others. Even though it's really embarassing for me to admit, I had acne on my face today, and it bothered my mother to see me so shy about it. She invited me into the bathroom so that she could help me get rid of them. I don't know if the sustance she used is important or not, but she used rubbing alcohol. After she has helped me with that, I could feel myself grwo nausous and dizzy. I remember uttering the last few words, "Mom, my stomach hurts...it hurts.." after that, my memory went blank.

I awoke to a ringing sound in my ears, and my mother's frantic voice trying to wake me up. At first, I thought that I had just fallen and hit my head, but she told me that while I was out cold, I had been having a seizure.

We called 911, and the ambulance came and took me to the ER, where they took note of my symptoms and signs. At this point, I was very pale and cold, and my blood pressure was almost above average. Their notes confirmed that I was dehydrated, and they gave me IV fluids right away. After they hooked up the IV needles, the color slowly returned to my face, and I got better. Depsite my improvements, they still did a CATscan, only to find nothing wrong.

Even now, after so many tests, they still want me to do physical therepy and have me talk to a nerologist. I think these things might be taking it a bit too far, but I guess I'll do what's best for me...also, they cannot be sure what to do anyway, since none of them knew the reason for the seizure.

What do you guys think?

Yes, it was really scary. It's always scary to know that you're out cold, and you're not controlling your body...not only that, but hospitals are starting to treat epileptics with more powerul medicine. I'm almost positive that I was given at least 5 or 6 different kinds of medicine.

I think you'll be fine. Just rest it out a bit. Since this was only your first siezure, if it's already taken care of, I don't think you should think much about it unless you continue having them.

if you took some medicine you were alergic too..if you watched too much tv..or if you have sezures from flasing stuff..dunno..

I had eaten one thing, only a small nutrigrain bar, but that was it. I don't know what started my seizure...it could have been that I was so thirtsy and dehydrated, and the hot weather may have triggered it.

What did I feel lightheaded? Haha, don't ask me -- I'm not the one in the hospital! But Kari said she felt nausious and dizzy, so I believe so...

I've always known that those things triggered it, but I never actually had an experience with it until now. Every other time I was thirsty in the heat, I would just walk inside and rest for a bit before going to get a drink of water. See? No problems there.

That's why I was so confused as to what could have caused this one.

Ok, I'll be sure to be extra careful from now on. I guess I wasn't really paying attention to the potential dangers.

It mighta just been heat stroke...? Y'know, you were outside and all...

Well, the seizure occured inside, and my mother works in the medical field, so she should know. She told me when I woke up that my arms and head had been jerking, and my eyes were rolled to the back of my head.

It could be epolepse, if its hot outside you can easly have a serzure if you didn't get enough sleep you can have a serzur if you play video games or watch anything that flashes fast you will have a serzure so be carefull and you should get it looked at.

That would be really freaky! Last summer I passed out... Don't know why... But compared to me it sounds like you got lucky! I fell face-first into the hard concrete and chipped part of my tooth off. The dentistis had to put a little cap thing on it. As long as it doesn't happen again, you should be fine.
