I believe I've heard of this before via previews and commercials, but I don't think I've ever actually watched it before. Could you give us a basic overview of the plot, so we can have a basic understanding of it?

I hope you don't mind me giving a quick summary of this film for you, do ya? I promise I won't give any spoilers away, OK?

(I hope you're talking about the Miyazaki film, right?)

Castle in the Sky (AKA: Laputa) is the tale of a journey to find a legendary castle that floats in the sky (hence the title, duh), and two young children (a girl with a magical pendant and the boy that she befriends) go off to find it while bad guys are hot on their trail.

Plus it has pirates. And robots. And lots of flying!

It's a fun film (I like the English dub of it; the voice of Niju (from WQ) plays the villain guy . . . cool, eh?) and the visuals are beautiful. I think you'll like it if adventure films are your type of thing.

Even though it's Disney, Hayao Miyazaki made it and it's Anime. But it is one of the best (and violent and humerous) movies I've ever seen!!!

Pazu rescues an unconscious girl descending from the night sky with a glowing pendant around her neck. He helps the girl, Sheeta, to escape from the air pirates and the military who are obsessed with Laputa, a legendary kingdom on a floating island in the sky with which Sheeta is suspected of being connected.
