I'm sorry, but nearly every book states that Balto was an Alaskan Husky, a Siberian Husky, an Alaskan Malamute, or an Eskimo Dog. The two books that state wolf-dog or way out-numbered. Ask descendants of Gunner Kassan or Leonard Seppalla.
