 Post subject: Overused Book Themes and Subjects

I think that the most annoyingly overused are those "epic tales of the bravery of a dog and their master" where they go on all of these "amazing adventures" and then the dog dies at the end. A couple are okay, like Old Yeller and Where the Red Fern Grows, but it's still overused. What do you think?
