Without moving companies, I can't even imagine how people used to move. It was a nightmare. Taking all the furniture apart then loading everything into the truck. Then a trip to the new house to unload all the things and back to gather. Nightmare ))

I know what you mean. For me the move went relatively smoothly, I recently moved from NYC to Atlanta. All thanks to https://borntomovenyc.com/long-distance-moving/movers-from-nyc-to-atlanta/, a moving service that helped me completely organize the move. I just prepared myself, packed things in boxes and labeled them so I wouldn't get confused about what was where, where fragile items were and where regular books and things were. The movers from the moving service also helped me disassemble the furniture and packed it so as not to damage it. Basically, the move went smoothly and as if nothing special happened.

You can move on your own if things fit in two suitcases or the trunk of a car. In all other cases, moreover, if there is still furniture, you only need to order a moving company, otherwise everyone will have a family psychosis.
