I was just thinking about how they said that B3 didn't make enough money to go on with the movies. I think I know why. They didn't advertise much at all. If they got so much money out of B2, how come they couldn't put more trailors on tv? I only saw it once on Nickelodeon and that was it! Weird... But this is just an idea.

Of course. I don't know how they expected people to rush to buy it, while they haven't done any effort to advertise it when it was released.
They didn't even do a "press release" to talk about it (you know, the kind of news that they can put on their website and that is then automatically added on a huge lot of websites), while they have already done a few for the future Land before time Tv and films for example...

If they had really cared about it, they would have thought and found ways to promote it, even with a very low amount of money (and it seems they just won't want to allocate more for this franchise). But no, they didn't.
Most people only knew about Balto 3 by coming on fan websites...
And now they are complaining because it didn't sell well enough. Pffff...

Really. The only reason that Land Before Time is making more money than Balto is that they actually cared to advertise it MORE THAN ONCE! When Balto three was released, I swear, there was only like ONE COMMERCIAL for it, and then if you missed that one commercial, you never would have heard of the movie! It really is too bad that Universal can't get money from when the movies play on Toon Disney and Cartoon Network.

Balto 1,was the only Balto film that made the most amount of money,Balto 2 and 3 didn't make as much money.

Well, it got a little bit of advertisement, but yes, not much at all. Heck I heard of it when my little brother was watching a land before time! Lol, they could have done a bit better

Well just adding my part, but here's what I think. For a person that watches Disney channel (Balto 1 shows there often, ocasonaily balto 2)/ Disney channel (Heard that there was Balto on that channel a long time ago, you know showing the movie on tv upon it's release.) and I found Wq in there once)/ Cartoonetwork (First time they showed Woc, it was also when it realsed and on rare occansions it's back there on the air.) a lot, (Taking that this person is a non-balto fan. If a person catches that there's going to a balto, and deicdes to watch it. Well. that's a start. After watching it, they might like it, and move or hate it and forget about or be inspired or be newly obbssed about something in (Like a charrie they really like). My point Balto movies come on now and then, and people might just view it.

I didn't even know there was a third one until I found it at WallMart. Then I had to practicly beg my mom to get me a $7 movie!! But if they had advertised it more, even if that meant making a short comercial or putting advertisments on the channels that shows Balto 1 and 2, it would have at leat been more promoted. It makes me mad that they made it then pretty much forgot about it.

I found out about WoC when I saw it Tesco, other than that I've never seen it anywhere else, not even at places like WHSmith and Blockbuster, how on earth Universal expected good sales I'll never know and as for showing the movies on TV I don't have SKY right now so I don't get those channels but even so, when TLK was shown on TV they put an advertisement in the TV mags, a full page, and there were adverts on TV and not just adverts they were eye-catching and loud, no attempt to promote Balto was made especially to this extent and when I went into Game and asked if they had any Balto movies they looked at me like I was speaking a foreign language, they had no idea what Balto was, any of the movies, how does Universal expect to make any profit with such lousy distribution?, and what happened to WQ or WoC merchandise? the original Balto had plushies, books, KFC figures and posters, I don't know about you guys but I don't remember anything for 2 and 3 and merch for 1 was'nt much.

I remember when I was 11 I saw the WQ commercial more than once and got the DVD for my b-day because even my parents saw it. The only place I heard about WoC was...well, here. The commercial came in late January and the premere on Cartoon Network was the same day. That was it
