The Loop is one of the best books I've ever read, written by the same author as "The Horse Whisperer", Nicholas Evans.

Helen Ross is a 29-year old biologist, who travels over to the small town Hope, to capture the wolves and give them radar collars. There's only one problem, the farmers in town want to see those wolves dead. One of those farmers,Buck Calder, tries everything to kill the 'murderers'.

If I had to rate this story, I'd give it a 9/10.
