ok,i know ive posted a Bambi II thing already but most people keep saying Bambi II shouldve been about Bambis children,as a mattter of fact it WAS about Bambis children at first i saw a comerical for the original Bambi II about three years ago,i still remember it,the animation was going to be just like the first one cause i still remember some scenes from the comercial,so technically Bambi II the midquel is crap,but the story is pretty good but after all ive heard about Gobo the deer being replaced with Ronno makes the midquel seem like a cheap quick movie made up by stolen ideas from the first one.And when i first saw the comerical for Bambi II i noticed something was different about Bambi in an instant and there are many things different ill point some things out number 1:more hair then the original. number2:he doesnt have eye lashes just an odd thick black line over his eyes wich proves the animation was rushed and crummy. number3:Bambi looked much more cartoony if u notice his movements are alot more unrealistic.Now im an animation critic i can recognize different animation or a character change in a heart beat[oddly enough i never had the prob with Balto sequels..]I dont think Disney is good at animation anymore theyre ok but they arent great i mean they have no love for their films they just made a Bambi sequel for money,when Walt made Bambi he loved his films and he worked so hard to create them I think Disney has lost their true love for all of their movies even the Fox and the Hound 2 looks really stupid the only connection it has with the original is that it has something to do with Todds and Coppers friendship,I hope Disney gets better and starts getting people who loves these old and classic films.

Anyways, I agree that Disney rushes things these days just so they can have money. I've never heard about an Bambi 2 been about his children though, unless it's just because I never saw the comercial.

I've never heard of that either. If it were about Bambi and Faline's twins, then it really would have been a true sequel (yet another predictable one, at that). But since it wasn't (and it actually was a "midquel"), meh.

Perhaps it was an earlier idea for the sequel, but I guess the writers thought that filling in that "missing gap" from the original would make a better story than a story continuing the Bambi story (it would have probably have been focused on just one of the twins instead of both of them).

no theyre twins if u notice owl says hes never seen a more likely looking pair of fawns and i think theyre both boys{note:they both have hair on their heads]

But in the novel, Gurri is female and Geno is male! The novel was made before the book, so that other person, you're right!

there was a deer called gobo but changed to ronno they couldve changed something but we cant be sure.

I thought Gobo was related to Faline?

Ronno was the buck that fought Bambi in the film.

And I'm guessing Gurri and Geno are Bambi's children, yes? I always thought one was male and the other female (since one of them looked like Bambi and the other looked like Faline) . . .

Yes,Gobo was Faline's brother in Felix Salten's book

Dang.. Why did they have to change it? I did like the Bambi II that came out, though.

ok...they really didnt use the novel to make the movie...they got the story line.....sorta...but what im trying to say is ok originanally...falines mom and bambis mom were sisters...ronno was falines brother...which in the first or second the didnt show faline with a brother...and they ronno in the sequel was just a deer that was overly obbsesed with himself...and yea...hose are just minor details...they didnt use alot of the original plot
