Summary: Well, let's just say...it might make your eyes water.

It had been a while since Aleu left Nome. She now lives with a large clan, and had pups with a brown wolf named Shadow. I'm not listing them all now, I will another time.
One of the pups that'll be a big part of the story is Wing Feather. Wing Feather was light brown and had black tips on his ears. He was adventorous, stubborn, and determined, and had spunk, just like his mother.
Once on a sunny clear day, he and his many siblings were playing, along with some neighborhood pups.
"Get off me, Wing Feather!" a female puppy cried, who had Wing Feather on top of her, who was nipping her ear.
"Aw, c'mon, Niabi! I'm just havin' a little fun!" said Wing Feather .
He jumped back on Niabi and was chewing her paw.
"Stop or I'll get my mama!" cried Niabi.
Wing Feather snarled and barked. When Wing Feather heard himself bark, he covered him mouth.
"What was that!? Only dogs make that noise!" cried Niabi.
"I um...um.....," Wing Feather said quietly.
Aleu heard everything and muttered "I guess all my pups should know about their husky heritage..." Sighing, she shouted "ALL MY PUPS COME HERE!"
They all ran to here, puzzled.
"What is it, mama?" asked a female pup named Raven, who was all black.
"Well, there's something I have to tell you. You see, your father is a wolf, but I'm half wolf and....half husky," said Aleu.
"What does that mean?" asked a male named Fox Tail, who looked like a fox.
"It means all of, every single one of you...has husky," said Aleu.
All the pups gasped.
"That must be why I barked," said Wing Feather.
Ever since that speech, the pups were taunted about being a quarter husky.
Spring passed. Summer passed. The last leaf of autumn fell, and the winter snow dissappeared.
On an overcast day, Wing Feather decided to find himself a rabbit for a snack. Balto was visiting, and Wing Feather was bored, so he went out to find a rabbit.
Some wolves came by.
"Well, look at the wittle puppy dog," one said.
"Is da wittle doggy gonna run home to his humans?" said another.
"Leave me alone. I'm just trying to find a rabbit," said Wing Feather.
"A rabbit! Pah hah! Now we know he's a husky doggie! He can't even TRY to find big game!" exclaimed one of the wolves.
The three wolves laughed hysterically.
"I.....I can catch something big! In...in fact, I...I'll...um...get a sheep from that farm over there!" said Wing Feather, annoyed by the wolves.
"You're so gonna die! A husky. Catchin' a sheep! Pffft. Imagine that!" cried one of the wolves.
Angrily, Wing Feather ran to the farm, hiding in a bush. He was stalking a ram. When he found the perfect moment, he ran full blast at the ram.
The ram was faster than he thought. He remained on the sheep's tail, forgetting about hid danger of getting shot by the farmer.
Suddenly, right when he was about to get ahold of the ram's leg, he heard a boom, followed by dirt flying from the ground 2 milllimeters from his paw.
Knowing what it was, he ran for the forest. Running faster than he ever knew he could.
He felt his paw encounter a tree root, and the leg gave way, Wing Feather collapsing.
He tried getting up, but his leg was too painful at the moment.
He saw the glint of the gun, closed his eyes and said "I'm coming, Grandmother Aniu."
But when all hope was lost, he heard a familiar voice behind him.
"NO!!!!" the voice screamed.
He opened his eyes and saw a figure soaring through the air, then he heard another boom and a yelp coming from the figure that fell to the ground.
The sun peeked through the clouds, showing the figure. It was his mother, Aleu. Blood stained her fur and ran down her side.
"Mother!" Wing Feather exclaimed.
"Wing Feather," Aleu said in a fading voice.
"Yes, mother?" asked Wing Feather, willing to do anything for his mother.
"Tell my father, my mate, your siblings, and the rest of the pack....I won't be coming back....I love you, Wing Feather....you must take care of the family..and the clan," Aleu said.
"I promise I will," said Wing Feather, tears stinging his eyes and streaming down his face.
Aleu gasped weakly, the air flowed out, and she was lifeless.
The rain poured on that day...of the devastaing loss.
