No Spirit 2...

I know some of you are Spirit fans, so I think I had to report this news : Dreamworks does not plan any sequel to Spirit. Unlike the news on Balto 4 I made, this is not an April fool joke...

"DreamWorks CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg talked about the DVD sequel possibilities of May 2002 $73.2 million grosser Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron before the film launched on home video. But even though the film outdistanced its theatrical performance on DVD, the studio isn't currently planning to go ahead with sequels, a spokeswoman said. "

guess we won't be hearing about Spirit's whiny son or daughter :lol:

. I have mixed feelings about Dreamwork's 2D sequels.. I liked Joseph :King of Dreams better than most DTV sequels.. so I think there's a chance it would have been o.k . on the other hand I couldn't bear irritating new characters or bad new voices to the oringals etc..

Well I can't say that I'm not disappointed because I've never really been a big fan of Spirit, but I am sorry to the fans.

Same here I didn't really like the movie. The soundtrack was great, but I really didn't see much in the plot.

Course I'm not a horse person either so that could be it too. n/o to anyone.

As Raven said though it is a bummer for the fans. Dreamworks does some nice animation for the most part, even in their sequals.

I'm not a Spirit fan myself, I didn't like it very much. The reason is that I hate when they didn't make the horses speak, it sounds completly stupid. They should have decided on making a documentary or an animated film, not both in one...

Actually that could be considered as good news... spirit is really good as ONE movie, a second on emight destroy the marvelousness of the first.

Well,I think some films do not need following-ups.Although I am a spirit fan too.I think the 2 will not as well as one.
