Have anyone noticed this? I have the old TLK 1 on vhs and the new TLK 1 on dvd. In the old one there was a scene there Simba were hunting a cricket and on the dvd Simba were hunting that field-mouse (or whatever it was) instead, plus Zazu were singing about "The Morning Report" so they also added a different scene before TLK 1 came on dvd! Has anyone noticed this?

I haven't got TLK 1 on DVD but I saw it playing in a DVD store before and I saw the new scene and Zazu singing...it doesn't really go with it. It's bad enough Disney making sequels without them actually changing the originals aswell.

On my DVD is the Morningreport, but my friend has a version where the morning report is missing and this scene is in there...

I like the part of Morning Report,when Simba spins Zazu around and then tosses him through the air.

Yes, it says right on the box there is an added scene in there called, "Morning Report," it was animated espeically for the re-release of TLK on DVD.

Yep. It's a song that I believe was originally planned for the theatrical release, but was cut out and animated later on for the SE DVD release.
IMO, I thought the song wasn't necessary anyway. The animation sequence looked as if it was part of the film from the beginning --->  wow.
At least the DVD allowed you the choice of either watching the original release or the SE version with the new song.

The reason it looked so similar is the same animators for the characters were brought back to animate that scene.

Which is a definite "good thing", yes?
Of course. If the whole "new" scene was animated by some other people, it would most likely suck (most sequels, anyone?).

Oh, that new scene was actually going to be in the original film, but they decided to delete it, but now, they've added it back in to the film!
