They're ok, but I think if they had made them more 2-d looking it would've been nicer.

Yeah, but so does 2d. It's just the fact that one is flat and one isn't and they look bad together.

If you're semi-good at drawing, then everyone else would be bad at it...

i didn't see any special effects but i know they kept messing up on dusty because at one point she stands by ralph and is the same size and then she stands infront of kodi and is way smaller than him and that just can't be because he's smaller than ralph......

The special effects were not needed. That should be saved for moives like Finding Nemo or Robots. They use that type of animation. Mixing traditional animation with specail effects just doesn't look good. They should of just gone with pure old school animation

I'm not against using 3D special effects, every animated film since the 80's have done that, including the original Balto. It permits to do things that wouldn't be easy with traditionnal animation, so it's time (and cost) saving. The problem of the DTV is that the 3D is not enough developped, and so it looks too much 3D and does not blend enough with the animation itself.
I did like most of the 3D scenes in WoC though, especially in the introduction and the race. The "super nes mode 7" 3D scenes used in WQ's nightmares and the mooses scene in WoC is really awful, though.
