Hello there, and greetings.
Sorry I dropped off the radar there for a bit, but I just finished making the move to Okinawa, Japan where I am stationed with the 3rd Force Service Support Group, United States Marine Corps.
My posts may be somewhat sporatic, but I assure you that nuclear holocost would not stop me from writing my fanfics, and I will continue to post on here as much as possible.
Now to the topic above...
I have two new ideas for Balto FanFics, and would like your input as to which one I should write first. (since I write them for you anyway) One of them, the first, I have a detailed outline for, the other well... I just thought of the idea yeaterday, so it's a little... no a lot rough, so I don't know....
The first is entitled "Who She Is".
This one deals with what Aleu did the year that she was across the great waters with her pack. (for those of you that don't know, Aleu came back home in my fanfics) I've never had her talk about it or anything, so I thought it would be interesting, heres a bit of an outline.
Aleu is leading the small pack that she journeyed with, and they are doing well, then she has a dream, in this dream, Muru tells her that soon she will need to journey home, and take her pack with her, but not yet, the ice bridge will appear, but the first time is a test, it will not hold the wolves, and if they go out on it, they will drown. The second time though (a little while after that) it will appear it is safe, and it means to go across.
She is told in this dream that her father will need her, and that she must go home. (this sets up the beginning of my first fanfic Jenna's Journey)
A wolf (unnamed, as of yet I don't have a whole lot of names) from the pack sees the first ice bridge and convinces the others that they must cross it. Aleu tries to dissuade them, but to no avail, she is forced to watch, as the entire pack ventures out onto the ice, and drowns.
Aleu is then a loner, wondering the frozen wateland of the north, waiting for the second bridge, a leader with no one to lead.
Then she meets a wolf, (again as of yet unnamed, for now, I'll call him W1) He seems very nice, and he and Aleu get along very well, she tells him of what happened, and of her dream, and the wolf tells her that his pack has no leader and that they could use someone. They are called the Talbourne clan. Aleu agrees, and the clan is overjoyed.
Aleu moves the pack nearer to the ocean so as to watch for the bridge, and as she is waiting, another wolf (I'll call him W2) starts to spread dissent among the pack, and concvinces some of them to leave Aleu, but W2 isn't satisfied with just this and begins to attack Aleu.
Just as the battle begins, the bridge comes, and Aleu's pack begins to cross.
Aleu is the last one across, and as she is starting to cross, W2 attacks her.
W1 looks back and sees Aleu in trouble (the two of them like each other a lot) and swims over to help her. (reminicent of Balto and Aleu in Wolf Quest?)
W1 attacks W2
When Aleu refuses to leave W1, he pushes Aleu off of the ice, a current comes, and carries Aleu away to the pack.
W2 kills W1
Aleu journey's home and goes to see her parents.
The End

Balto: Things Are Not As They Seem
Balto and Jenna meet a new wolfdog in town named Togo.
Balto and Jenna and Togo become good friends.
Balto leaves on a mail run, Rosy and her family are gone for the weekend, leaving Jenna at home alone with her newborn (2 weeks) pups.
Togo shows up, and really beleives that he is Balto.
He tries to act like it and when jenna resits, he gets violent, threatning to hurt her or the pups, and he will.
Jenna is scared, and must deal with this dog that she thought was freind, now as an enemy, but want that is very dangerous.
Jenna must bide her time, and wait for Balto to get home.
(Togo is Manic-Depressive)
