Out of the Dust

I hate this book. . .

It's dull, boring, and worste of all, the whole book is a Poem.
We have to read this in class at school and we usually read out loud or listen to it on tape.
Guess what i was doing?
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
Now we have to write an exxay on it and ive no idea what even happened in it.
Can someone help me out?

well, i thought it was very well written, and i kind of enjoyed it... i'm more of a fantasy person. but for a historical fiction, i thought it was good. and the poem format made it a quick read ^_^

it is fiction, though, (i think), but it's a historical fiction, the characters are made up, but the dust bowl really happened. it destroyed a lot of lives, especially because the great depression was going on at the same time.
