I love this series very much, the bond between Torak and Wolf is just really touching and their friendship really does have some funny moments.

I love the idea that, although the author states a time period in the book, the story has a very timeless quality to it and it doesn't become too bogged down in painting a purely historical account. Though from that perspective the book is very fascinating too.

The pacing is particularly excellent, you never feel like you're being shortchanged on story and every chapter gives you something substantial.

I'm currently waiting for the third book in the series, but apprently it won't be out over here 'till September *whimpers* ah well, guess I'll just have to sit on my haunches and be patient.

I just bought this book, yesterday infact, I'll be reading it soon.

Wolf_cuz_luna: I've not read it yet but I think the story is...This boy Torak's father was killed by a bear and Torak and his friend Wolf go looking for it but there is this great evil that follows them and only Torak can defeat it.
At least that's my guess for now, I'm kinda busy so might not get to read it for a couple of days.
