Has anybody watched this yet? It's been on Discovery Kids since October. I think I'm beginning to like this show better than the Real Toons.

i think they just kinda ripped off of lost... i saw the 1st episode and was kind of bored by it. it was ok, i guess, but lost is way better, except for a few little details, such as the fact that it's a bit more "clean". i was disappointed with lost when they started throwing in suggestive stuff.

I saw on IMDb that FLight 29 Down was in production before Lost even aired. If you look up Flight 29 Down on IMDb you'll eventualy find that.

hmmm.... i'm not sure. did they start producing lost before flight 29 down? because lost would've taken a lot longer to produce, so i'm guessin' they started 1st. there is a difference between producing and airing. but hey, who knows? when i ran this by my dad, he just said that flight 29 down is like a "lost" for kids, you know, as in kid-appropriate, for all ages.

Possibly makers of Lost told the makers of Flight 29 Down to make a kid version of Lost?

possible, but i kinda doubt it. tv producers are very touchy on that kind of stuff.

My dad thinks it's a ripoff of Lost too. But, I don't actually watch Lost, so Flight 29 Down is perfectly fine with me. I haven't been able to watch the more recent episodes though. (or have they had any since they found Abby? PLEASE, no spoilers! I that show!)

i don't watch lost that much anymore, (due to my mom thinking that it's too inappropriate) but my dad does and he tells me what happened and if it's ok for me to watch. seriously though, as far as suggestive stuff goes, lost isn't half as bad as most shows.

Ice Husky, it does seem that when they found Abby would be the end of season 1. But there are thirteen episodes, and when they found Abby would is about the nineth episode. Am I wrong?

Flight 29 Down = "Lost" for Kids . . . . without so much violence, swears, and all that stuff that makes "Lost" . . . uh, "Lost".
I don't get a chance to watch Lost, but I watch F29D when I get the chance on weekends (it shows on Discovery Kids on NBC, Saturday mornings).
I like most of the characters, but they're all so stereotypical.
(I don't like Taylor . . . she's an annoying brat.)
I think the end of the first season was when they found Abby, but **WARNING: highlight after this for spoilers**I remember that the episode after they found Abby, she recovered and left the group to find the others that were originally with her. Of course, some of the group wanted to go after her, but Jackson understood that she had to do it alone. Well, at least she knows where the beach crew is located. Plus, the last new episode that I saw had something to do with a secret that Jackson is hiding. I think a couple of castaways found out something that they wished they had never discovered. **end spoilers** Ooh, suspense. Yeah. I haven't seen all of the show, but some episodes were cute.

Did you see, "A Fish Story"? Taylor was talking nervously and winked at Jackson at the end. It sounds pretty obvious that Taylor left the notes for Jackson. Did you notice that?

Haha, I watched that episode yesterday. I was sort of surprised at how much Taylor knew about fishing (it's sort of obvious it was her, though). Jackson should make her take over that job! it's much more useful than what she does normally. Juuchan17 wrote: I like most of the characters, but they're all so stereotypical.
I agree that they're steroetypical . . . but they're entertaining. I think also they don't really know each other very well now. They all go to the same school, but I'm pretty sure they were far from close friends. I think (or at least I hope) that as the show progresses they'll open up more, and we'll get to see some dimension to the characters.
