Yet another Universal Studios masterpiece!! I once saw this film a long time ago, and I just recently saw a preview for it. I just rented the DVD, but I couldn't watch it because it's an old movie and the disc was scratched up. FEWMETS!!
Anyway, there are two movies in the sequal. The first is about the last dragon on earth, called "Draco". (Played by Sean Connery; see my avatar for a picture of Draco) The dragon teams up with an old knight to overthrow a tyrant king. Idunno why it's called "DragonHeart", but I don't want to know yet; fear of spoilers.
The second has to do with something about Draco's son, but I'm not sure. I want to know as little as possible.
It's a real nice movie; I'd recommend it to anyone. Here are a few more screenshots:
My memory of this scene is still cluttered...but I know what that guy's doing...he's looking for something...and I know what he finds.
A clear picture of Draco.
I know what's happening here too -- Draco learns to fly!!

I saw DragonHeart when it originally came out a while back and rented it a few times. It’s a great movie!

I love dragon heart. It's great! I think I rented it about a year or so after it came out to VHS.

I cried at the end of the movie. The original site is down, i loved it. Had the best stuff on there. Saw both movies, loved em. In DragonHeart, Draco was a robot, but in DragonHeart 2 a New Beginning, Drake was computerized I adored both movies. The best. My favorite movies since the time i first saw them. I adore dragons to this day, those are the best dragon movies ever

Yeah, I remember the movie didn't really have a happy ending (REMEMBER, NO SPOILERS!!), but I don't rememer what happens to Draco. I knew he has a son...but...ah well. don't tell me. XD
There are so few movies like this and Balto; the world needs more of 'em. I'm sure I'm just gonna go berserk over it when I'm done watching it.

Most of the movies that seem to be coming out now don't have the same character as Balto, DragonHeart and the like had when they came out. Quote: I cried at the end of the movie. There is a DVD that came out....I can't seem to remember the name at the moment but it had to do with Dragons and if they were real. So the movie basically looked at real life and how dragons could be real creatures fire breathing and all living in the prehistoric era with the Dinosaurs. It was one of the best dragon movies I'd ever seen. If I remember the name I'll get back to you. I rented it at my local Block Buster it was much better then I expected.

No, you just don't get that feeling with movies nowadays. You know, that feeling that makes you just want to go crazy over what you just saw? It's a wonderful emotion...but it also leaves a big empty space of unsatisfaction that's really hard to fill up again. Lakoswolf wrote: Quote: I cried at the end of the movie. I'm not exactly sure what you're talking about...but I believe the movie you're referring to may be "Reign of Fire". It is a dragon movie based on present day, but I, personally, didn' really like it. Nothing but meaningless killing and shouting. Not the kind of touching story I had in mind.

No it’s not a “Movie” like you’d see in a theater it’s more like a documentary on dragons if they were real. I’ll find the it the next time I’m at Block Buster and get you a name.

Really? lol. See, the sooner I watch it the better. XD Yeah, My whole spring break is ruined right now because my disc is scratched up, and it's raining outside, so I can't return it yet. It's torture, I tell you!! TORTURE!!

Yeah. I, too, was very young when I first watched it. Seeing that preview brought back a whole flood of memories and emotions -- that's what a good movie's supposed to do.
